I realize that when it comes to food that opinions will vary. I saw Chefs de France listed so I will give my two cents. We dined here on Tuesday evening. This was our second and last time at this restaurant. Several reasons.
First, we realize that Disney wants to flip the tables as quickly as possible but when I’m dropping over a couple hundred of bucks for two on dinner we want to take our time and enjoy it. When our waiter arrived I kindly explained to our server that we were in no hurry. He did try to slow things down “somewhat” but I have a feeling that his manager had other ideas.
Now back to the topic. I ordered the filet. It was not good. Overcooked and stringy. It reminded me of the filets that I have purchased at Costco. Sometimes good and at other times, bad cuts. The filet at California Grill blew it away as did the service and atmosphere.
Good call on Skipper.
You don't have to eat at a signature to get a good flavorful steak at WDW.
Mama Melrose has a great steak with mac and cheese.
Chefs De France has a nice Filet at a decent Prix Fixe menu price.
BOG has a decent Filet as well.
Teppan Edo is fun and the steak is good.
Raglan Road has a nice looking steak on the menu, one of the other guest ordered it sitting at the table next to us, but it was only in the $30 range if I remember correctly. Ha

I had this in December and it was good. Not aged or nothing, but a good steak for the cost. Of course I tend to like food from RR since I love the beer offerings there. Argh
I love Fogo. Going to meet up with my friends I barely saw during the pandemic for brunch in June at our local Fogo. So many options there. We joke about completing the circle of meats (beef, pork, chicken, lamb).
My husband says Yachtsman's Steakhouse is the best Disney one, but would pick Shula's as being slightly better. We've also been to Le Cellier, California Grill, and Narcoossee's for reference. All were great, can't go wrong.
Shula‘s-much better by far than filets/steaks I’ve had at Narcoose’s, Be our guest, Chefs de France, and The Wave. I‘ve only had the prime rib once at the yachtsman lounge so can’t comment on other cuts there, but was not impressed.
A lot will depend on what cut of beef you like for your steak. For me, I don't love filet, so if that's the only cut on the menu, I won't be getting steak there. If you like filet, it looks like there are lots of great options mentioned here. The number of restaurants with additional cuts is much smaller. I love prime rib or a ribeye and my favorite for those on property is Shula's. Yachtsman and California Grill (when the ribeye is on the menu) are my other go-tos for steak at Disney.
