DH is wondering where to get the best steak in WDW. Care to share your opinion?

I would say hands down- Shula's. The filet at Jiko is yummy as is the one at the California Grill. I know people will suggest Le Cellier and it is okay but in my opinion doesn't hold a candle to the NY steakhouses I am used to.

I love the fillet at both Jiko and LeCellier. I've never been to Shula's or California grill, so I can't compare them.

Any ideas about the concourse steakhouse in CR?

I know it's closing soon but my wife and I have ADRs for January.

Steak, eh??

Shula's and Yachtsman Steakhouse are both top notch. We have also had a very nice filet at BlueZoo (fork tender), but I think that was the only steak on the menu at the time. CG and FF have both had good steaks, on past visits.

Overall steak and many many choices, Shula's and the Yachtsman!

I like Yachtsman's for a good steak.

I also had a very good steak at Artist Point.

I recently had a filet at LeCellier that I could cut with my fork. And it was extremely tasty as well.

I believe the steak at artist point is buffalo. It was really good when I had it, extremely tender.

DH got the Buffalo steak and I got the filet. I'd have to say mine was better but you can't really compare Buffalo to Filet. It's all in what you're looking for.

1. Shula's 2. JIKO 3. Le Cellier 4. Yachtsman 5. Ca Grill 6. Artist Pointe. I'm not a filet fan as other cuts have more flavor but I do love that JIKO filet with mac n cheese.

I agree. I just ate there Saturday night and loved every bite of it. I've had steak at other places during our trip, but Le Cellier was the best steak by far.

My Dh said his best steak came from Kona's. I had the ribeye and he had the filet. They were both awesome, along with everything else. Then we went to Le Celierre and he had a new favorite, although he says it is a close call! :)

Let's see...

In October, I had the Prime Rib at Kona, tasted my sister's teriyaki steak
there, and had the filet at Artist Point. I would say that all steaks tasted
were delicious.

But if you do eat at Artist Point, they have a tendency to cook the meat
pinker than what I normally get elsewhere. My medium rare was almost what
I'd consider rare, and my sister's medium looked to be medium rare perfect.

WOW! You are all making this a tough call! DH just got great news on his cancer re-check and we want to really celebrate during our upcoming trip. Sounds like we will have several choices and it may come down to where we can get an ADR. Keep those comments coming and I will share with DH. :thumbsup2

On our trip a few weeks back, we ate at both Le Cellier and the Concourse Steakhouse. DH and I agreed the steaks at Concourse were superior than Le Cellier. Just our opinions...

Between YSH and Shulas, I would give a slight edge to Shulas on the actual steak (Ive had prime rib at both), but a slight edge to YSH for everything (sides, bread with garlic, drinks, etc...). I thought Shulas was too dark too.

For a melt in your mouth filet, CA Grill comes to mind.

My vote is for Yaughstman. My girlfriend and I shared the chateaubriand, and it was fantastic. The other cuts were done well, too, it seemed. Dry-Aging, it's the way to go! Just go to Peter Luger sometime and you'll never think otherwise!
Jiko's filet was good, but not as amazing as the hype made it out to be.
I had some of my father's steak at Brown Derby, and it too was pretty tasty.
Haven't eaten at Shula's.

My husband's rankings (he is the steak guy)

1. Jiko
2. California Grill
3. Flying Fish
4. Teppanyaki (! never gets mentioned and the prep is a little unusual, but they've always had nice flavorful beef)
5. Le Cellier/ Narcoosees (we've had one LeCellier steak better and one worse than the Narcoosee's steak)
6. Kona

This is going to sound strange but we went to Rose And Crown last night and I had the steak and fish. It was hands down the best steak I have ever had at WDW. It was HUGE, thick, juicy and really tender and cooked perfectly! It was not what I expected! :lmao: The fish was good too! It definitely was not where I would expect to go for a great steak but it was!

I would have to pick the Yachtsman - they still hand cut their meats daily and still make all their food from scratch and don't pre-cook anything.

I have had 6 birthday dinner's at the Yachtsman this year alone and trying to find time during my Jan trip! LOL I love their filet always cooked perfectly the way I ask it to be. Everyone I have taken has been impressed with the food and staff and have now asked "when are we going back?"

The staff still understands "Disney Guest Service" and I can't say I've ever had a bad steak or service in the 4 years I've been going there.

The managers there truly care how the guest feels during the stay. I had the manager and chef both check on our dinners while walking thru the dining room last week.

Good luck with your decision. Happy Holidays!!
