I am going with my DBinL and DSinL and two nieces and my brother in law will only eat steak and that is gonna limit us, he is strickly meat and potatoes, doesn't like anything weird, in his opinion, on his food. I love LeCellier and I know they can do filet and fries there, my DD had it last June and we can do Yachtsmans, after that, I really don't know. Where else to get a good, plain steak on Disney property.

DH and I both and an awesome, delicious, very filling NY Strip Steak at the Grand Floridian Cafe on Christmas Eve. It was served with parmesan mashed potatoes and veggies. Very "normal" and oh so tasty! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...

Planet Hollywood/House of Blues in Downtown Disney, Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios, Kona Cafe?

If you aren't on DDP, Shula's at Swan/Dolphin has probably the best on property. My BF eats a lot of steak also and many places had a regular steak on the menu. He also had it at Tony's Town Square and thought it was good there.

In addition to those mentioned already...

Olivia's at Old Key West had a great NY Strip and Prime Rib
Boatwrights at Port Orleans Riverside

Many steaks to be had

Me & my DH had the best steak of our entire lives at the California Grill a few weeks ago :)

Beside the filet, Le Cellier has an outstanding rib eye on the dinner menu. I've had both and much prefer the flavor and texture of the rib eye. It comes with potatoes. There's a dollop of butter on it that can be omitted if your BIL wants it plain.

Any of the Disney restaurants that serve steak will be glad to accommodate a picky eater by leaving any sauces and non-potato side items off the dish. just ask when you order. So just because it's not listed as a plain steak on the menu, don't let that deter you from eating there.

Of the places I've eaten steak at Disney (Jiko, Citricos, Cali Grill, Artist Point, Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Le Cellier) Yachtsman was the best, with the NY Strip at Flying Fish coming in a close second.

The Turf Club has very good prime rib.

I'm a steak guy, and it's Shula's, followed by Shula's, and finally Shula's.

Not on the DDP, but they do take TIW. Shula's is a true steakhouse and they do it very well. Lot's of sides and appetizers to choose from.

It is a little pricey and everything is a la carte, but it is easily the best steak place on property and it's really the only true steakhouse.

After that, I'd say the Yachtsman.

Another vote for Shula's. Where else can you get a 48 Oz. Porterhouse with Lobster Mashed Potatoes?

:earsboy: Bill

If not everyone wants just steak, the Flying Fish at the boardwalk has one of the best steaks besides Shula's. And there would be more choices for everyone else.

You can get a good steak (almost always just ONE cut) at several spots. But for steak generally, Shula's is by far the best place on property.

I agree with Le Cellier and would add Le Chefs de France. Their beef medallions are perfect. They can omit the sauce, but it would be a shame.
