Best Steak on the Boardwalk?

I have had steaks at both Shulas and Flying Fish. Both are top notch but I would always choose the Fish over Shulas for the service. The service at Shulas was chilly to say the least ( and the air conditioning so cold we could not enjoy our meal....yes we had sweaters) and it did not make for a pleasant dinner experience. The atmosphere at the Flying Fish is festive and fun and the service always great. We are waitresses and really give the waitstaff a lot of slack knowing that everyone can have an "off" night but Shulas service was sooo snotty. We will go back only because the food was so good and hope for a better experience.

I have had excellent steaks at Yachtman's and Le Cellier. Most recent experience at Yachtman's was just about a week ago. I had the Beef Tenderloin Medallions. Excellent. I have also enjoyed the Black Angus NY Strip and the bourbon version of the NY Strip. Both were equally good. Le Cellier was not quite on a par with YMSH, but the prices were correspondingly lower as well. DW really enjoyed the strip steak at Flying Fish when we were there last summer, but I cannot speak from personal experience on this one (I go to a place with a name like Flying Fish to eat seafood, not beef :) ). Both YMSH and FF have delivered very good service.

We haven't tried Shula's, but I agree that the prices don't look too out of line compared to YMSH if the side orders are really huge so two can share. I see that the filet is 12 oz and the Kansas City Strip is 20 oz. Certainly this appears to be a larger steak than YMSH for only $2 or so more per entree plus half the cost of a side order. I'm adding this to my list for our next visit. Does anyone know how prices are for wine by the glass? DW doesn't drink and I try to keep the cost of my two glasses of wine to total no more than my dinner. This usually allows me to select something from the middle of the price range at most WDW restaurants that are reasonably serious about wine.

Just got back from Disney last night! We tried Shulas for the first time, I agree w/ many of the posters- best steak on property! I guess it is a bit pricey, but if your looking for something special this fits the bill. Dh and I spilt everything except the steak, our bill was an even $100 (before tip).
I'm praying they open a Shulas here in Phoenix!

For those of you who CLAIM Shula's definately has the BEST STEAK ON PROPERTY, have you actually had the NY Strip at FF? Just wondering...(I've had both btw and prefer FF to Shula's)...

It may be a moot point though as the last time I looked the Steak was GONE from the FF offerings. Hopefully this was just temporary. If anyone knows more, please share...

Nice to see you Mr Pirate. I was thinking you got Shanghai'ed.

I just did a post about the steak at FF recently and it is back on the menu.

And BTW, Shula's has set a high bar for the FF.

when was the last time you looked? I ate at FF NYE & Jan 1st and we had it. The FF menu does change at times but usually does have at least one kind of steak on it.
