Alright, folks. I'm going to WDW this summer and my two favorite foods are steak and cheeseburgers. I want to know where I can find the best of both on property (period) and the best in each park.

My DH and I think a hidden gem is the Turf Club at SSR, they have a blue cheese topped sirloin there that is to die for AND
you can take the boat there from Downtown Disney, the service is always excellent and the cheesecake is also to die for.
:thumbsup2

Thanks, D.

Never been to SSR for anything, but I will check into your suggestion.

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club for the cheeseburger. It is the best on property. Plus they have real vanilla Coke. Not that sissy stuff they sell at Sonic.

Beaches and Cream doesn't have the best cheeseburger anymore. They are serving the same stuff found at the parks. I think The Fountain at the Dolphin has usurped Beaches and Cream for best cheeseburger.

The best cheeseburger I had at the parks probably is the Angus deluxe one at Pecos Bill's. Especially with the toppings bar. The worst had to be ABC Commissary. I would warn people to eat that burger at their own risk. It's really bleh.

As for steak, you will get a ton of different answers. Turf Club, Kona Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Le Cellier all have their fans. I can throw Shula's at the Swan into the mix. because they have good steaks, too.

We were just at Beaches & Cream a month ago and the cheeseburgers there are definitely not the same as those in the parks. I found it to be very good but the best cheeseburger I've probably ever had (3 times!) was at Le Cellier. It's terrific!

Lori is wise. :worship:

We used to be B&C loyalists. Then we tried the Dolphin Fountain based on some good recommendations we had seen. There is no doubt that the burger at the Fountain is significantly better than what B&C serves now. An added plus is that the place is bigger and less well known so there is seldom a wait.

Big River Grille & Brewing at the Boardwalk is the bests we've had.

Kobe Burger - Grilled to order, served with lettuce and tomato - $13.99

The best steak I ever had was at Boatwright's at Port Orleans Riverside. It was unbelievable. The restaurant doesn't have much of a theme, so people don't tend to remark about it a lot...........but I LOVED the steak!

I only ate one cheeseburger on our trip and it was at Sci-Fi and I must admit...It was pretty doggone good!

Best cheeseburger? Beaches & Cream

Best steak? For a filet go to Citricos. For a NY Strip go to Yachtsman

Best steak for me either Le Cellier or Yachtsmen Steakhouse. Best burger.....hmmmm....not sure on that one!

Best steak is easily Shula's. Followed by Yachtsman.
Can't help with the burger question---

Steak - no question nor comparison on WDW - SHULA'S

Burger - Grand Floridian Grill

I would say that the Beaches and Cream burger is probably on par with that burger I ate at Pecos Bill's. The burgers at B&C are definitely different than in prior years.

Thanks, Jeff. I was basing my opinion from years of research! I've eaten at Beaches and Cream back in 1996, then pretty much every year since 1999 or so. I skipped WDW in 2006. ;) I remember when I bought into DVC at Beach Club back in 2002 that the take out window still included burgers at that time. I was able to take a burger back to my villa to eat it. The burgers were definitely better than they are now. Now the take out is strictly ice cream and beverages.

I had tried The Fountain based on a review I read here on the Restaurants board, too. I first tried it a couple years ago and have been a fan of their burger from the get go. In December 2010, a few of my friends were thinking of going to Beaches and Cream around 7pm, but the wait was an hour. I was very hungry, so I suggested we walk to The Fountain instead. We only had to wait for minutes before we were seated.

I'd probably agree with you there, but I was pleasantly surprised by Kona a few years ago. The teriyaki steak was tasty. I thought Shula's had the best filet mignon, though.

I can't think of any locations that have good Steaks, however for Cheeseburgers I would highly recommend the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk and Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club.

Steak- so far it's Le Cellier, but we are trying Shula's this trip :)]

Burger- My mom really enjoyed the bbq burger at WCC.
