Best STEAK at WDW?

Sounds like Shula's wins ha! with Yachtsmen as a close second.....My man loves steak :cool1:

Yachtman's price runs neck and neck with Shula's but their beef is a distant second.

Re: FF. The char crusted NY Strip is really tasty but the "great" is in the sauce foyet, otherwise it's just an average 12 oz. choice cut NY STrip. For those of you who think it's the 'cat's meow' now, you should have had it 10 years ago! It was a bigger and better cut of beef! SPECTACULAR!

Shula's cuts are all good. The prime rib is as big as your head! No lie!

I actually had one of the worst steaks at Yachtsmans. I ordered mine Med Rare and it came med well. Dmom ordered hers Med Well and it came extra well. We both got the filet and it was fatty, tough, and not well seasoned. It was actually one of the worst meals the entire trip.
Best we've had was at Artists Point. It was perfectly cooked and DH and I can't wait to go back. The Portabello soup was pretty darn good to!

The big question is did they notice and rectify? Because at Shula's or The Palm they would make it right one way or another.

They did not notice or rectify it . The waitress said something about Dmom not eating hers and she said told her and the waitress laughed it off. By that point we where so unhappy with the entire experience we just paid and wrote it off as a loss.

That's simply not acceptable. One time at The Palm I had a less than stellar steak. I didn't complain but our waiter noticed I wasn't eating and diplomatically pressed me. I admitted to him it wasn't great but I'd be OK. He would have none of that and immediately brought me another, excellent steak.
When our bill arrived I noticed that not only was my meal comped but all of our drinks and deserts were comped. Further, we were apologized to by the manager TWICE, once at the table and again when we were leaving. And remember, I asked for nothing.

My husband does not eat seafood, so he has eaten a steak at every Disney restaurant that we've ever eaten at! I usually taste every one, too, and so far, the Brown Derby gets our vote.

In December, we are going to be able to give the definitive answer...We are staying at the Dolphin, so going to try Shula's. We finally managed to get a Le Cellier res (first time!), so doing that, and we always do Brown Derby. I guess we'll double up on our cholesterol medicine and go all-out-carnivore!!:lmao: I'm not sure I've eaten three steaks in three days in my entire life.........

Also, a neat note. Shula's gives you two hours PER ENTREE free at Camp Dolphin. So two adults=two entrees x two kids=peaceful meal! We're giving it a shot for sure.

No doubt about it, Shulas in the Dolphin Hotel. Turf Club at Saratoga Springs is also pretty tasty.:cool1:

For variety and taste--Shula's.
Then YSH.

You can get a "good" steak at other spots, but usually it's just one cut.
For instance, the excellent NY strip at FF won't do you much good if it's a Porterhouse you're after. BUt you can get either one at Shula's.
