Hey All!

I want to surprise my husband on our december trip with a nice dinner, he loves steak, so I want to know...

Where are the best steaks at WDW??

We're big fans of Yachtsman.

My husband, the steak eater, LOVES the steak at the Flying Fish!

You can find a great NY Strip at Whispering Canyon. It is 1TS credit and is fabulous.

Are you on the dining plan or going OOP? If you are paying yourself then Shula's is the place. If you are on the dining plan and don't mind using 2TS, I have enjoyed Yachtsman and Narcoossee's. If you are using 1ts I have found several places to have a decent steak including Whispering Canyon Cafe, Captains Grill, and Coral Reef. :thumbsup2

One of the trends I have noticed during my participation with Disboards is the feverish passion that we all have for our favorite steakhouses at WDW. While I have not dined at Shula's in WDW I have enjoyed a meal at one of his restaurants around DC. Fantastic!!! As previously stated if you're on the DDP and don't mind spending 2TS The Yachtsmen serves one of the better cuts I've ever had. For 1TS the attached Captains Grille or The Turf at SSR are also fantastic choices. Le Cellier was a good 1TS option, but I wasn't impressed enough to spend 2TS when IMO it's comparable to Captains Grille or The Turf.

I like the recommendation for the Flying Fish and will have to try that on our next trip in May 2012.

Overall, for steak in general - Shula's.

Filet - I have had an excellent one at Blue Zoo on past trips.

Is it possible to build a little code into the site that auto-answers this question with Shula's? Because, a lot of places in WDW serve a pretty good steak, but Shula's is the only place that serves an excellent steak.

Now, if the question is, "What restaurant other than Shula's serves a great steak?", then we can get the debate machine up and running.

I really loved Jikos filet and mac & cheese- SO good and also Le Cellier's Filet and I subbed the amazing mashed potatoes instead of the risotto. Mmmmm. All that said Shulas is superb, but I've never had any desire to go there at Disney b/c it's a chain and at Disney I like to go places I can only go at Disney :)
