Hi All,

Is the viewing of Illuminations bad from shore or hard to get good seats? Where are the best spots to view from shore and how early do we stake out the good spots?

The boats sound the best, except for the potential smoke...

Jeff

I've watched Illum from a bunch of different locations. As long as you have an unobstructed view of the globe in/sky above the lagoon and are NOT downwind, you should be fine. I LOVE Illum but wouldn't spend hours holding down pavement. Last Christmas we watched from the crystal shop in front of the Biergarten and had a great view. Just make sure there aren't any trees blocking your view and you'll have a good spot!

Ok this one's a big secret, so keep it to yourself........

We watch from the patio next to Rose and Crown. Its behind the wall and you have to pass the podium for R&C to get to it, so most people think its part of the resturant. You'll know it because the tables aren't set. We grab a table early and send DH to get counter service food for dinner while we wait.

Now remember, don't tell anyone.

Thanks to both of you for your quick responses!

I will check out spots while in Epcot Monday and will be ready to go there when we are at Epcot in Thursday in the evening.

Just got back and we watched it from BCV balcony 527!! Filmed it also....you can actually here the music! Other than that, we enjoy them from the
France /England bridge or Rose & Crown. There are also some good and other unique spots on the Morroco /Japan/ USA side....different affects! You really can't go wrong anywhere around the lagoon.
