BEST SPOT for dining/ILLUMINATIONS

Good Morning!!! Would anyone care to give their opinion on where the best place to eat is in EPCOT in order to watch ILLUMINATIONS? I do not care if it's table service or counter. Thanks in advance!!

We always eat at Rose & Crown and watch Illuminations from there. Excellent view and the food and beer are very good also.

I've made reservations at Rose & Crown to try that spot as it is my dh's favorite spot in the World. They can't guarantee you'll get the outdoor eating area, but I think they let the diners move about to see the show when it starts. Be sure you call ahead for your ADR.

I read that the Mexico outdoor restaurant is also a popular spot.

Colleen, you are correct, if your table doesn't have a view of Illuminations, they will let you go onto the outdoor seating area to watch from there. Trust me it's the best place to watch Illuminations from, with plenty of Guiness , to make it an even more enjoyable evening.

Oh YES...Guiness! You can't get that in Mexico! LOL! I just made my ADR!

One warning, though: Occasionally the outdoor viewing area isn't available to Rose and Crown guests, due to a private party. During our trip in February, it was cordoned off for a wedding reception (including bride-in-white).

What's the best time to make your reservation in order to be there for Illuminations?

If you make your reservation for between 7:20 pm and 7:40 pm, then you should have at least a 30% chance of getting a table with a view of the show, when the show is 9:00 pm. That's really the best time to aim for.
