Hi! I have a milkshake "coupon" that a wonderful person from the DISign board made for my son. He loves milkshakes. Now I need to know that best place to use it. So what is the best spot to pick up a milkshake in the parks and out of the parks. We have a late night ADR at Beaches & Cream on one of our non-park days. Is there anywhere else that is better or another spot we should try out a great milkshake?

TIA!!!

50s Prime Time. PB&J or seasonal. You can get one to go in the lounge if you aren't eating there.

Also at DHS, Min & Bill's Dockside Diner has interesting seasonal flavors. http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/...-dockside-diner-in-disneys-hollywood-studios/

Ghirardelli's in Downtown Disney (I prefer their ice cream quality over the Edy's served at Beaches & Cream and other Disney locations). They have sea salt caramel and banana, yum, and more typical flavors.

My favorite - and it isn't a milk shake in the strict sense since it is made with sherbet - is the Frozen Sunshine at Beaches & Cream.

We also have an adr for beaches and cream but I think I am also going to stop over at the fountain in the swan or dolphin. They have some milkshakes that look really good and it looks lIke they are all take out which I dont think beaches and cream offers for every shake on their menu. I am really looking forward to grabbing a shake and taking a nice walk around the Boardwalk after watching fireworks at Epcot or HS.

Used to say 50's Prime Time Cafe, loved the PB&J milkshake, but on last trip the PB&J milkshake was disappointing. It has gotten smaller over the years, my last one had ice slivers in it.

We've been to Whispering Canyon a few times, last time we were there they had refillable milkshakes, and they had interesting flavors, I remember having creamsicle and caramel.

50's primetime! Last September I had the specialty shake which was apple pie. It was the best milkshake ever. We also had WCC milkshakes and I really didn't like it.

The Whispering Canyon Cafe has wonderful milkshakes and it is at my favorite resort The Wilderness Lodge too.

The PB&J milkshake is awesome at 50PT

Could you elaborate on this "coupon"?

Add my daughter and me to the list of PB&J milkshake fans :yay:

Another yummy drink is the American Dream at Epcot (Fife and Drum Tavern). It's frozen strawberry, vanilla ice cream, and frozen blue raspberry slush!

The "coupons" come from so many of our talented folks over on the Creative DISigns forum. You can find/request all sorts of amazing printables to use for scrapbooks, Mousekeeping envelopes, t-shirt making . . . the list can go on forever and the talent is awesome! Check it out under "Just For Fun" on the main page of the boards.

Here's a link too:

My kids are really into the Ghirardelli's milkshakes at DTD. They also like them at 50's Prime Time, we make an afternoon ressie for just a break and shakes.

My kids love 50's PT milkshakes and even if we don't have an ADR, we still go to the bar in the lounge and get them to go.

I had this conversation a few months ago with someone.

Edy's & Ghiradelli's are both made by Dryers. Both are 'premium' ice creams.

Some flavors may be the same, but some are 'specially formulated' for Ghiradelli's.

Haagen Daz and Ben & Jerry's are super premium ice creams.

The difference between premium & super premium is the amount of air allowed. Also, super premiums typically have more fat & sugar by volume.

As I recall, there is (nearly?) twice the sugar & fat in Haagen Daz compared with Dryers products. Haagen Daz is available at Downtown Disney Springs.

Personally - I enjoy Ghiradelli's milkshakes.

Fountain, inside Dolphin, also has milkshakes, but many of their flavors have 'stuff' mixed in, and that is not my preference for milkshakes, but it may be yours.

I've also heard the PB&J milkshakes at 50's are delicious. I'm sure Beaches and Cream has good milkshakes, but I wouldn't order them from their. The sundaes are the real star ;)

Traditional type, handmade milkshakes are available at Ghiradelli in DTD, Beaches & Cream, Sci Fi, and 50s PT. All were good but we liked the option of getting a milkshake as our drink and still being able to order dessert at Sci-Fi and 50s :thumbsup2

Whispering Canyon has bottomless milkshakes, but be warned they are the very thick McDonald's style shakes that are poured from a machine. So thick they will collapse your straw. It comes out vanilla and they add syrup to it to make it chocoloate or whatever flavor you order. The bottomless part is a nice touch, but it wasn't what we had in mind.

We don't consider it a trip to WDW until we scarf down some onion rings and milkshakes at Sci Fi. The atmosphere, the shake itself, everything is one of our favorites and the staff is fine with you just ordering shakes with an ADR.
