I can see both sides. I noticed one mom asking on the POFQ thread about the height restriction because she wasn't going to be able to watch her 7 year old and her toddler at the same time. I know I can't watch both in the pool. It sorta stinks to not be able let a 50 inch 6 year old in.

It really bothers me that my tall 6 year isn't allowed to play in a kid's splash pad (he is in kindergarten for heavens sake). It feels like discrimination for being tall. How is height a safety issue for a splash pad? It should be by age if anything (except for rides that require heights for safety). Same with the mall playground, he was technically too tall at 2 years old, TWO.

Because people lie about age to break the rules. You can't lie about height.
