I have seen a whole lot of talk about specialty drinks and how wonderful they are! So post your favorite beverage and where you can get it! I will take all drinks that are suggested and create a poll to see which is the :worship: best of all the Disney World!

:cool1:

Gran Marnier Slush at France...this year I plan to try the Peach Snap in China. :thumbsup2

Magical Star - it's a tropical rum drink and I think it's Disney's signature drink for 2009. Comes with a glow cube. Very tasty and pretty too.

I tried to order one at T-Rex, however, and the bartender hadn't heard of it. Then I realized that this place isn't exactly Disney-attached. ;) I had no problems ordering it at other Disney restaurants.

i've never heard of this one- what is it?

it comes in a large hurricane glass with a wooden/bamboo backscratcher stuck in it for "decoration" (i guess)
.
strong drink for me...

it has light rum, dark rum, passion fruit juice, orange for garnish, bacardi, jack daniels ( and maybe something else.)

the only booze i have had before was jack daniels in coke.
when i saw the drink menu, i thought, well, it has jack in it so it can't be all that bad..........

it is quite similar to the Tropical Itch drink:

The Tropical Itch:

· 1 cup passion fruit juice.

· 1 ½ oz of 151° rum.

· 1 ½ oz of dark rum.

· 1 ½ oz of light rum.

· 1/2 oz of orange Curacao (Triple Sec can do in a pinch and usually did).

· 3/4 oz Kentucky Bourbon.

· A splash of lemon juice.

The drink is severed in a large hurricane glass (which is required for the 4 shots of liquor in the drink and the juice). The glass is filled with ice and the ingredients are added. Sometimes some grenadine is added at the bottom of the glass and the ingredients are layered, other times, it is served stirred. Traditional garnishes are pineapple, cherry and a wooden back scratcher.

but, the backscratcher is stirred and not layered as the one recipe above is.

i'm going to o'hana in the fall and will be doing a repeat of that drink.

The Backscratcher and Lapu Lapu at Kona/'Ohana are wonderful...very tropical drinks. I also love the Pina Colova...it's a Pina Colada with rasberry puree, soooo yummy! I've gotten it at our resort and also at Kona over the years, but I think you can get them at several different places on property.

Like another poster said, the Sunken Treasure is good, too! I got that one at Yachtsman last year. The Rasberry Mojito at Narcoossee's was delish, as was the various Champagne cocktails we tried (all with different names at different locations around WDW).

But, my all time favorite adult beverage on property is the GREY GOOSE LEMONADE SLUSH at the France Pavillion at Epcot! :cloud9: That's actually what my trip ticker's for in my signature...counting down the days until I can enjoy another Grey Goose Lemonade Slush (or 2...or 3) yes, as you can see I do enjoy cocktails while on vacation! Ok, who am I kidding...and at home, too! ;)

:rotfl:

That sounds just like me! Right now I'm sitting at home drinking fruit punch and rum thinking about all of the yummy cocktails I get to try in a month when I'm at WDW!

Magical Star Cocktail $9.75

Light up your celebration with X-Fusion Organic Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, and a souvenir Multicolored Glow Cube
*****************

Came home with five glow cubes. :scared1:

Also ordered the Cotton-tini at T-Rex. It's one of their signature drinks which is a martini made with cotton candy. Not worth it, IMO since they have to melt the cotton candy in the drink and you're left with a sticky martini. I much prefer rum. :)
