Best souvenirs you ever purchased?

We have a tradition of buying and having personalized a Christmas ornament every year and those are probably my favorite.

I also have a Mickey themed kitchen, so I try to buy at least one thing special for that each time we go. Starting my morning w my coffee in one of my fab 5 mugs still makes me smile everyday :)

We have the refillable mugs, and Grandma & Grandpa mugs from a trip with the grandchildren. We have key rings Minnie for me, Miickey for him. I have a warm Mickey fleece jacket for the cool Florida evenings. Our favourite things though are the 4x6 post cards of the Disney artwork. Hubby framed a few and we hung them where we can enjoy a magic memory as we walk by.

The Minnie Mouse backscratcher I bought on our first trip (1994), for $4.95! She looks as good now as she did then, despite multiple trips through the dishwasher, and she still scratches wonderfully well.

In 2006, I bought a Mickey Mouse drawstring backpack bag with pockets on the front. I love it. I use it every time we go back to WDW and on other vacations. I in 2007, I got a Mickey/Minnie Christmas ornament I put on my tree every year. Oh yeah, my Crocs. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee them. They have Mickey Mouse head holes. In 2009, I purchased 2 pair.

My dad has his Mickey one still from around that time too!!

I agree with the person that spoke about the Starbucks cups. I am still kicking myself for not getting them when we were there in October last because I really liked them.

Beautiful!! Was this the artist set up at the Beach Club - just off the lobby (towards the gift shop)?

Yes, she was. I saw a photo of her pricing/phone number and called and talked to her. She gave me her email and directed me to her Facebook page. I told her the look I was wanting (based on a few portraits from one of her albums that heavily emphasized the eyes). This was all a few weeks before our trip - we went to the Beach Club and I stopped by her display, but she wasn't there. She ended up dropping them off at our hotel after they were completed. She did an amazing job on all three.

My personal favorite souvenirs were silhouettes cut of the children from Main Street USA, which have gone up on the wall with silhouettes from WDW that DH's beloved grandmother had cut of him and his sister at the same ages. It looks like a tradition now and it makes me think of her whenever I looked at them.

OMG do they still make these?!?

One of our favorites are the "Whiskers & Wine" prints you can get from the Kiosk at Food and Wine. We buy a couple every year and have a whole wall of our bedroom filled with them.

I have a pink, zip front hoodie with a little Minnie Mouse embroidered on it that I wear all the time. It was expensive and I really debated buying it; I am so glad I did.

Not from wdw but from DLP, me and my then boyfriend went on our first holiday there and we were in sleeping beauty's castle gift shop where he saw this cushion of Mickley and Minnie who got 'just married'. Just so happens I did marry him and the cushion is in our bedroom 3 years later! Hoping to find something just as special when we go next year :daisy:

I worked in merchandise at WDW last year on my ICP so I became a bt of a souvenir fiend! Some of my favourites are my Pandora beads, Alex and Ani bracelets, my WDW hoodie and coffee mugs.

Since I worked there for a full calendar year, I also collected the Minnie Mouse Ear Headbands from various seasons. I have the classic black and red sequinned ears, Fourth of July, Halloween, Christmas, and a pair of animal print ears (because Animal Kingdom was my home park). I now keep them hooked on top of my dresser mirror at home and they always make me smile :)

Limited edition pins can also make great souvenirs, Disney releases them for special events, holidays, seasons etc. I sent my mum the Mother's Day pin last year and she decided she was going to wear it every year on Mother's Day. During the holidays there was also a giant pin available that was also a countdown calendar - super cute!

I've got so many ideas (after all, it was kind of my job lol). If you're ever stuck for ideas, ask a merchandise cast member to help, so often they will know the merchandise so well that they can help you come up with some awesome ideas. I had a couple once who had found out just before their trip that they were pregnant and wanted help coming up with an idea for a Disney themed pregnancy announcement. I had the idea of using a mini ear hat keychain (it looks like a regular Earhat but tiny) that they could use in photographs. The husband was so excited, he kept saying "look how tiny it is!" That was pretty special :)

We bought coasters years ago and use them everyday!

I also did pin trading and collected Mickey holiday pins...I wear them on my jacket or cardigan around every holiday.

In 1993 we honeymooned at Disney and my husband bought me a bride and groom Mickey and Minnie. While packing to go home I accidently crushed it while packing to go home. When my husband went back to the store to buy me another the clerk recognized him and asked why he was buying another, when she heard the story, she gave him the replacement for free. My Mickey and Minnie are still sitting on my dresser, nearly 23 years later.

Congrats on the Anniversary! My hubby and I celebrated 23 years this month (May) also! What an awesome honeymoon, had a blast and wish I could do a "redo"!

My most cherished souvenier is a gold Tink necklace, with a diamond in her wand. She was a Christmas present from DH; we had gone to Disney to celebrate his safe return from Iraq. Unfortunately Tink was a little too heavy for the flimsy chain she came with, so my poor DH had to spend more money for a sturdier chain to support her. #OnlyAtDisney

I love my Silhouette portraits of each of my kids. Each have been done on different trips but with the same artist at Disney Springs.

I also adore the Mickey Ear Christmas ornaments and my Haunted Mansion coffee mug, inside of the bottom says Hurry Back makes me smile after each cup!

My personal favourite was actually a gift for someone else - I bought a large Disney fairy tale story book for my 1 year old niece on my last trip, and I then had characters sign their story (Peter Pan, Wendy and Tink on Peter Pan, Cinderella and Prince Charming on Cinderella, etc). Any characters that didn't have their stories in the book got to sign on the inside front and back covers. Now that she's almost 3, my sister says it is her absolute favourite book and they have a hard time keeping her hands off of it.
Oh my goodness! I wish my nephews were still young enough to do that as a gift! What a wonderful idea!

And I JUST found out my sister is pregnant again - so this fall when I go, we'll be doing two books! One for my niece who will be 3, and one for my niece or nephew which they'll get when they're born!

I like souveniers that feature more offbeat aspects of the parks, such as:
Coffee Mug with "¡Por Favor, Mantengase alejado de las Puertas"
Coffee Mug with "Mine Mine Mine" seagulls
Turkey Leg T-Shirt
Anything Pirates (preferably from Disneyland)
Construction Cone Soft Drink Mug (Cars Land)
