Ornaments! Sometimes I don't get the real ornaments, I get a keychain or something unique that I could turn it into an ornament. A lot cheaper and some of these items I pick out aren't glass or fragile, way easier to bring them home and easy storage!

I've actually never thought about this. I do a fair amount of international travel as it is and have been to most of the WS countries so I'd probably buy something that was "Disney-themed" to that country. I think I have a Goofy plush somewhere in which he's dressed as either a Mountie (from Canada) or a Beefeater (from UK) but can't remember and I have a Minnie dressed in a kimono. If that gives you an idea. I like to collect stuffies and let them hang around the house so these make more sense to me. Sometimes I'll grab food or something but rarely any tchotchkes as I can them from the original country for cheaper. I buy most of my kits from Adidas/Nike as they have a larger selection of sizes (I'm a stocky dude).

The only store in the World Showcase I shopped at was the one in Japan but the selection is so sad now. The store has 50% less inventory than before Covid and I understand that it's probably due to shortages but I miss all of the stuff they used to have. Also as an anime figurine collector it literally kills my soul to see people buy those figures when you can get them for WAY cheaper online, even if they're being shipped directly from Japan.

Nowadays I like getting candy/snacks from the different countries (minus Japan and China as I have plenty of Asian grocery stores near me that have them for lower prices). Last time I went to Epcot, I bought a coffee flavored chocolate from Canada after two employees and a customer from Canada all said it was delicious and they give them as gifts to their American relatives. It was pretty good ngl

Someone said something about Canada, that reminds me, I will grab a coffee crisp from the Canada pavilion if they have them as I can only get them when I cross the border. They are the best candy bar in North America.
I think that's the candy I had. It was really good. I can see why three different people told me to try it. I'm going to Canada in July and I plan on stocking up on some to take back.

The Japanese department store (can’t recall the name) has nice souvenirs at different price points. Bought some lovely incense cones and pottery holders there, well made and designed long sleeved t shirts reminiscent of classic embroidery, cute Hello Kitty trinkets.

France has well made items for your fav wine lover (Mickey Mouse s/s bottle stopper and opener), quality linens and of course, perfume.

Morocco has carved incense boxes to put the Japanese cones in or just buy pastilles from them.

When you go, check for some new flavours. They sometimes offer limited editions, and they will be MUCH cheaper at a gas station or grocery shop than at WDW.

Mitsukoshi.

You guys are talking about this coffee crisp right? If it is, the last time I had them (last year) they tasted very different than I remembered. I had these a lot when I was younger, and they were very good. But now, they taste pretty sugary to me, and the chocolate flavor isn't that good.

I really like buying kitchen items (dishes, etc) from the different countries (and parks) because then I can loop them into daily life. My favorite bowl (ok, maybe weird to have one, lol) is one I bought in the Japan pavilion in 1999(!). It's beautifully done (no connection to Disney, WDW, or IP) and is the perfect size for rice dishes, or large helpings of soup or snacks. Almost 25 years! My only regret is that I've not been able to find more like it.

I've bought some cute tea sets from China and Japan. I also got a Shanghai Disneyland 1st Anniversary mug from the shop in China. China is also good for inexpensive jewelry.
I bought nice handmade margarita glasses from Mexico.
UK was good for getting flavors of Twinings tea that I never see in stores around me.

I was reminded I didn’t buy DGD an offered Helly Hansen down jacket (she didn’t want it 🤷🏽‍♀️ ) by her father who was required to buy his own as a teen ( it’s all in the grades, my darling...).
Some of the line is sold at the Norway Pavilion.
I must say the design ethos is really clean and the sewing construction impeccable.

The only souvenier that I usuall get from World Showcase is a full belly! My merch selections tend to be more on the Disney-ish side of things.

One year a while ago I was there on my birthday. I bought a pad of fancy paper and I went to each country and had a cast member write happy birthday in their language for me. I got a pin from each county and we took a picture of each pavilion. I put it all in a shadow box. Nice birthday memory.

Yes, that's interesting as they taste the same to me. I got them all of the time in Windsor. I guess a not-great coffee crisp is better than no coffee crisp at all.

Nothing pricey, although most all Disney souvenirs are overpriced. Just tchotchkes like refrigerator magnets or keychains, none of which are likely made in the respective countries (except China).

I have a Canada magnet from my first Epcot visit in 1983.

We got Helly jackets for our Iceland trip and I love it so much. It truly is waterproof. I got a knee length 3-in -1 that’s a puffer inner shell that can be detached from the outer waterproof layer or worn all together. So many pockets too I don’t even need a purse when I wear it.

Yes!! That’s what my son bought as a teenager. I think it was designed as outerwear for some sort of water racing? Took decades for me to tell him it was beautiful and ingenious. Glad you get its worth as well.😎
