Hi guys....Heading to WDW for the first time on Jan 20th. Of course I have huge list of people that I want to bring back souvenirs for. That said, I was wondering what you think are the best places for souvenirs in each park?

Ok I do not speak from experience (seeing as I have only been to disney 1 time some 20 years ago). But I have read on here that some people will buy disney things at Walmart and that they have a big section of souvenirs.

Thanks, I don't think that we'll be going off property at all, so Walmart, unfortunately won't be an option.

Our favorate has always been Mouse Gear at Epcot. Large selection and not as crowded as DTD.

Great, thanks for the help! We'll def. be checking this one out. Any suggestions on the other 3 parks? :)

We do most of our shopping at Mouse Gears in Epcot. Some people like The Emporium at MK, but it's just too crowded for me. We like Island Mercantile in AK, but I think all gift shops in AK are interesting.

If you are planning on going to DTD, then World of Disney is the place. They've got everything. It's our 1 stop shopping when we go. The kids remember things that they've seen in the parks and most things we've been able to find there. It keeps us from carrying a lot of stuff in the parks. Have a magical trip!

I would second the Mouse Gears at Epcot; at Magic Kingdom on Main street it looks like there are all small stores but the truth is every store is connected inside and it is one huge store.

OT - if you get or have the Disney Visa card just remember to try to buy all your souvenirs together as you get 10% off over $50 in purchases; I am not entirely sure if all the stores participate however. I know for certain that the large store in DTD does that and that is where we always go to buy our souvenirs so we don't have to lug it around the parks.

Have fun!

Another vote for Mouse Gear....Thanks for all of the options. :)

We are planning an off day from the parks...Maybe DTD may be an option that day. Do the resort buses travel to DTD.

For unique items, I like the gift shop outside the Art of Animation in DHS for figurines and art prints. (However, I've never bought anything because of the $$)

There are also very unique gifts to be had inside Animal Kingdom. I brought my Dad wooden wind chimes in one of the small shops.

Each park has a main gift shop, and lots of gift shops with unique items. The resorts also have great gift shops, and if you forget somebody...the airport has a great gift shop too.

Disney makes sure that you have an opportunity to shop!

No matter how many times I have gone, I come home with bags and bags of stuff for myself. :scratchin

I love the little shops in AK because sometimes I find things that I haven't found in any other gift shops.

Emporium in MK is great but so is your resort hotel's gift shop for the bulk gifts of candy, shirts, mugs etc.

The World of Disney in DTD is great because they have something for everyone.

I like the World Showcase in Epcot because they have more unique gifts.

The first strip of stores you hit in DHS is great too. Okay, I love everywhere in Disney but I hope that helps.

Thanks for both of your suggestions....can't wait to check them out!:)

Epcot - Mouse Gear is by far the best. It's HUGE.

MK - Emporium (if you can navigate the crowds).

AK - Island Mercantile (and, as a bonus, they do hair braiding there too - and face painting I believe).

DHS - Keystone Clothiers. They often have unique Disney items that you can't find anywhere else on property.

It's hard to say which one is better then the other, because they all have something for everyone.
Each park will have specialty items for that park, also each hotel.

If your staying onsite, each park and DTD will deliver to your hotel so you don't have to lug everything you have bought.

I like that little store at DTD that does items for under $10...yeah, I'm a cheap skate!

Those are all my favorites too. Mouse Gear is the best!
