I know that's kind of a weird question but my son is a big fan of soup. What are your favorite soups at WDW restaurants? The first ones that I think of are the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier and the clam chowder at Columbia Harbor House.

If your son is a big soup lover take him to Dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge's Boma. They have about 5 different fabulous soups every night and he can try them all and go back for more!

100% agree with Boma. DH and I also really like the Sopa Azteca at San Angel Inn, and frequently get a bowl of that and a margarita for lunch!

The best is close to Boma, but it's the same soup at Mara. I specifically LOVE the butternut squash soup. They insisted it was from the same pot, whether it was served at Boma or Mara. So I tested that-I first had some at Boma during the culinary tour, then I ran over to Mara when the tour was over and had the same soup at Mara. Mara's tasted better to me-probably something about it being cheaper there. I also enjoyed the clam chowder in a bread bowl at BCMarketplace, and there's some other soup there, also available in a bread bowl (Minestrone?) that DH loved. And if your son likes spicy soup, there was a Chinese soup, almost a broth, at Sunshine Seasons that DH attributes to curing his cold, or at least letting him breathe.

Another vote for Boma. We loved trying all the selections there. Biergarten had a fabulous potato leek soup that was amazing with the pretzel rolls but I'm not sure if it's still on the menu. There's also the classic French onion soup found at various places like chefs de France and be our guest though I think chefs is better.

Hands down the soup selection at Boma can't be beat. We also like the French Onion soup at BOG and of course the cheddar cheese soup at LeCellier.

The soups at Boma are not only the best thing about Boma, they are some of the best dishes on property. :earsboy:

All of the soups at Boma. They rotate. They are are pretty much all excellent.

Boma soups are awesome, and Chefs de France lobster bisque is delicious! The cream of mushroom soup at Artist Point is on my short list.

The soup at Boma was AMAZING. They do have the same soups at the Mara as well...but it's only one and it's different every night. We were just there last week and ate 4 or 5 dinners at the Mara and I think I saw 3 different soups rotate through? Like someone else said, it's the same soup that's served at Boma - they had my favorite from Boma one night and it was just as good the second time. So good that I emailed Disney for the recipe. :)

Lobster bisque and French Onion Soup at Chefs de France. This is real Onion soup, not the vegetarian stuff at BOG.

Oh I totally agree. Have to pace myself to have two or 3 at dinner. Love the lentil, butternut squash, carrot ginger, curried chicken to name a few! I also love the beer cheese soup at Le Cellier, cheesy salty savoryness. Chef de France's French Onion. My son, like yours has always been a soup lover.

Smoky mushroom bisque at AP. Rich, filling, and the kind of soup you wind up sopping up with bread (which AP has, as well).

I really like the soups at Boma. Also enjoy the french onion soup at Chefs and BOG.

Boma has a soup rotation of 5 soups, love all the unique choices. The mushroom bisque at Artist Point, green tortilla soup at Maya Grill, butternut squash at Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace and lobster bisque at Les Halles de Boulangerie are my faves.

The potato-gruyere bisque at California Grill is my favorite. My husband prefers the tomato bisque at Beaches & Cream.
