We have kids and adults in our party, and we're going in July...what brands have you had success with as far as sweat/comfort, etc.?

:wave2: welcome to the Dis I'm sorry I forget the brand.. Hanes maybe ? but a lightweight wicking material / cotton (no sweaty feets around here ;) ) easily found Wal-Mart, Kohls, Target, etc

best socks EVER. also they have a LIFETIME warranty :) If they EVER get a hole in it, the company will send you a new pair!

I go back and forth between my super-padded Thorlo socks, and the bamboo socks I bought in Nassau - I think the brand was Cariloha. I'm pretty sure they have a web site. Pricey, but there's nothing like em for softness and moisture control.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you want loads of cushioning, go with Thorlo. If you're going in August, and you want moisture control, try bamboo.

Since we'll be there in July I think I'll look into the bamboo...thanks!

Wicking socks. My husband wears the injinji toe socks. But any athletic wicking sock is way better than cold wet cotton.

Definitely moisture wicking socks! I bought both Nike and Adidas running socks and didn't get a single blister after averaging 8-10 miles a day for 6 days. My tootsies were still sore after all that walking, but blister free was most important to me!

I really like Feetures running socks. I buy mine at the local athletic store (RunOn) but they are moisture wicking and fit snugly and feel like they offer extra arch support to me which is key for me enjoying myself. They're very googleable. :)

Another vote for Feetures. You're spending a ton of money on a WDW trip, spend a few extra bucks and get some quality footwear for the whole fam. Feet take a beating at WDW so it's well worth it. As a bonus, you get to take them home and use them again.:earsboy:

I bought a pack of New Balance moisture wicking socks in Vegas 2 years ago. They are still in good shape and they stay on my feet even thought they are the "no-show" type. I have bought lots of socks like these that end up slipping off my heel as I walk. I bought them along with a pair of gym shoes after realizing my sandals weren't going to cut it. So much for being stylish! Love the socks though!

Hanes, cotton, no-show. It helps with less heat getting in at your feet and helps the breeze hit your ankles a little bit more
