Best Snorkeling on St. Martin?

Has anyone had any spectacular experiences snorkeling on St. Martin? I've read that both Orient Beach and Dawn Beach have very good snorkeling. Has anyone tried them or another location on St. Martin?

Pinel Island ( a small island across from the French side of St. Maarten) is also good. You can go through Disney or you can just get on a taxi and pay $5 to get across.
