My 13 y/o son is ALWAYS hungry. We plan to have a small b'fast, CS lunch, TS dinner most days (will have TS b'fast once and maybe TS lunch once). We won't use drinks as snacks, as we can easily buy those.

What are some good snacks on the DP for a chow hound? :) Also, where do you get the pineapple whips (I think that's what they are called)?

TIA!

MY son has gone to Disney World twice as a teen. He loved the Jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzels at the Animal Kingdom and the cream cheese stuffed pretzels in the MK. He also liked the frozen bananas and I think they were nestle crunch bars from the ice cream carts.

We saw Dole Whips at Captain Cooks at the Poly and in the MK.

My teenage son liked french fries as they were a bit more filling, also single serving instant oatmeal (and all of the cold cereal songle servings) were snacks and so someitmes he had those. And, his motto was, if in doubt and I'm hungry, ice cream of any mind always works! We were on the DxDP and did all buffets for breakfast, so he was not as hungry as he otherwise might have been, but I feel your pain!

Dole whip floats are at Aloha Isle near Adventureland in MK. Another large ice cream snack would be the ice cream cookie sandwich at the Main Street Bakery...also a lot of very large bakery items available there for a snack credit. More ice cream goodies at The Plaza Ice Cream parlor at the castle end of Main Street/MK.

In Epcot-lots of bakery goodies in Norway & France...also pretzels in Germany

In DHS, hot stuffed pretzels at that boat-shaped snack counter...also tons of baked goods at Starring Rolls.

haven't ever bought a snack at AK besides mickey ice cream from a cart

The popcorn is the best in Disney. For some reason, I can have the same popcorn elsewhere, but Disney popcorn has some sort of magic in it or something--I'm addicted!

He won't have any trouble finding snacks...my teens never do, lol. Ice cream, HUGE cookies, pastry, funnel cakes, scones, and yes...even fruits and veggies! Cold grapes, apples, carrots, etc. are great on a hot day.

And don't forget, if he wants something more substantial, you can always get a hot dog, chicken strips, etc. ala carte for less $ than a combo meal...you just have to ask as it's usually not listed on the menu. Casey's in MK has great mini corn dogs. :goodvibes

ETA: Items available as snacks have a little "DP" symbol next to them on the menus of the carts, stands and CS places, so it's easy for him to identify snacks without feeling intimidated or having to ask. He just needs to remember to use his card and tell the cashier "I'd like to use a DP snack credit!" :)

Some of my kids favorites, churros and of course the Dole whips. We also enjoy treats from the bakery in France.

My boys (ages 15, 13, 9) all love the snow cone like things in Japan. I think it's called like kakigori or something like that. There's a little stand there that sells them. YUM!!!
