We're going to the Fort in a few weeks. Camping is about the only time I eat smores, but this weekend I had to experiment with something and thought I'd share.

I made smores using regular graham crackers, the pumpkin spiced marshmallows that are at WalMart right now, and pumpkin spice hershey kisses. Holy cow, but those were awesome. Just like pumpkin pie, only better. So I ran back to WalMart to get more stuff to pack for our trip.

Obviously, if you don't like pumpkin, this isn't for you, but if you do and want to try a different kind of smore, I highly recommend it.

I made them with cinnamon and sugar graham crackers, regular Hershey's chocolate and the cinnamon bun marshmallows that are out now.
YUMMY!
An alternative for those of us who are not big fans of pumpkin.

Ooh, ohh, thanks for the preview! I just picked up a bag of the pumpkin spice to use this weekend, now I can't wait! I think I might pick up a box of the cinnamon grahams - great idea!

We tried the caramel ones this summer and they were delish!

Pumpkin spiced sounds awesome to me !! Mmmm, gonna havta try it !

in case anyone is interested, Sam's Club currently has a complete Smores Box Kit that makes 36 smores for $10.bucks.

I like making them with Reese's PB cups! Mmmm, I think we need to have a fire this weekend now!

I've seen them done with big homemade chocolate cookies instead of graham crackers. Looked really good...

Yes... that is what we do. It's also good with snickerdoodle cookies and white chocolate...:thumbsup2

We've also used thos shortbread cookies that have the chocolate section on one side, yum! We've tried chocolate coated grahams, but they're just kinda messy.

We've also done a Martha Stewart suggestion - dip the mallow in Cognac or Grand Marnier before toasting....high brow grownup s'mores!

We are goin to Knoebel's (in PA.) for their fall festival this weekend.
I kept saying I'm looking forward to smores and wine tomorrow night, now I can have my alcohol and eat my smores too.
We really are an inventive bunch!

 Pumpkin spice in between fudge stripes, sounds like another WOOHOO bar to me! :yay::yay::yay:

my Sam's had them for 5.98 today, I got two for our upcoming trip.. gonna have to check out those flavored marshmellows though.. that's genius!

A few things we have tried and like -- York peppermint patties with regular marshmallows. Dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
Cut a cadbury creme egg in half and use with any flavor marshmallow.
Roasted "peeps" are my husband's favorite! The sugar caremlizes on the outside like the topping of creme brulee and they are AWESOME either on a smore or by themselves! And you can get Peeps nearly year-round for any given holiday ;)
Love the pumpkin idea and can't wait to try some different flavored Hershey's kisses on our next trip!

We just got inside from having smores! We had regular graham crackers, Reese's PB cups and caramel marshmallows, OMG good! I had one with PB cups and one with regular Hershey's and BOTH were delicious.

Oooooo! THANKS! We are camping at The Fort with my Dad, the week after Thanksgiving. Will definitely bring these fixins!!

Also like 'em made with Reeses Cups and regular 'mallows.

To coin a phrase, "a whole new world"! I'll have to take a whole suitcase just to try all these variations.

Another variation is to substitute the Hershey bar with Andes mints or orange mints. I also like to use chocolate graham crackers and the coconut marshmellows.

I am going to have to try some of the other variations that have been posted here...yum :thumbsup2

Seriously, these JUMBO marshmallow take up a lot of room!

You know, I'm not a huge fan of these...the centers don't cook all the way. Or at least they don't for us!

So we went camping with a group last weekend and I never got to try the pumpkin spice marchmallows! I, um, got too busy enjoying some margaritas and never got around to toasting  I did make a quick trip to Wally World last night to pick up another bag to put away for our next trip out camping.
