I am wondering what websites other people are using to watch for flight deals. I currently use yahoo farechase and farecast.live.com.

I love using Kayak.com. You can put in multiple airports and a range of times to look for the best bargain possible. Sometimes certain airports are cheaper than others, and certain times of day are as well. You also can see if having a stop somewhere is a better deal. They will search all airlines for the best deals.

I second Kayak.com you can then look at multiple sites. I will say that for my honeymoon last year the day that I finally booked I also called a local travel agent just to see if they could do better for the flight (the hotel portion was already booked) and they ended up saving us over $250 on our tickets. I always recommend giving them a quick call right before purchasing online. If they can't beat the price you can still book yourself.

I too use kayak, but I also like airfarewatchdog.com. You can get emails telling you the best fares from your city, or you can check the website and type in the city/airport you want to check. I have found that sometimes a great rate is posted on one end but not the other, even though available both ways, so it's best to check both the airport you're flying into and the one you're flying out of. They often have deals that aren't listed elsewhere and last-minute fares, but you usually have to grab it when you see it.

I found the best fares directly on Alaska Airlines and Southwest website.

The folks on the DIS Unplugges podcast were just talking about this a few shows ago. They recommended Yapta.com. It watched the market for you and sends you emails. A nice tool.

I forgot about Yapta! I have this and it's nice. You can search an airfare and if you click the yapta icon, it will keep track of that fare and let you know via email if it goes down. The downside is that it will only check on that exact flight, so if there is a flight at a different time/day that is cheaper, it won't tell you that unless you have all of them tagged.

Thanks for the replies. I just booked through Air Canada's website on a seat sale. What surprised me was that these rates did not show up on any flight websites - only directly through their website. Disneyland here we come!
