Hello all!

Well, we will be back at the world in May 2012 for Epcot's International flower and garden festival. :thumbsup2 I am already planing the restaurants we would like to eat at, and we decided to have one of our dinner at one of the signature restaurants.

But, we can't decided which one. :confused3 We are running back and forth between these 4 restaurants:

  • California Grill
  • Artist Point
  • Narccossee's
  • Citrico's

Can you help us decide which one would be the best for our first time eating at a signature restaurant? :)

out of the 4 we have only been to AP & CG. CG is a very great place but is not as relaxing as AP to us. the views are out standing at CG. Food I will say is great at both of those. Narccosse's is one that is on the top of my list to try.

Have you looked at the menu's of the 4?

Out of those cg. I have not eaten at citricos yet, but will be in a few weeks.

Out of those 4, California Grill. But I would also add Flying Fish as an option. Those 2 are my favorite on site. We didn't like Artist Point and the other 2 are very good.

In my mind, it's a toss up between CG and AP. If you want a view, CG. The food, both times I've been there was very good. The extra points goes to the great view at sunset and the fireworks. AP in my opinion is tied with CG. I had a great dinner and it was peaceful and laid back. I would go back to either one in a heartbeat. While the food was good at Citricos, the night I was there, the staff left a lot to be desired and it made for a painful experience. I rule out Narcoussie (sp) because I live in lobster country and I think their lobster leaves a lot to be desired.

Yes, we have but can't seem to decide on which one.

Out of these four, I rank them:

1. Citricos
2. Ca Grill
3. Artist Point
4. Narcoosees

My favorites are not on your list.

Citricos would be my top pick. I like the experience there better than Narcoossee's and California Grill. The food is very good at all three. I cannot comment on Artists' Point, though.

We've only eaten at one out of your list (Artist Point) and the filet and salmon were amazing :thumbsup2. The atmosphere is nice too :goodvibes.

I think they are all so good that I'd pick soully on where you plan to be that day. If you had my sainted mother at gunpoint tho, I'd say Cali Grill....;)

I'd say Citrico's or Narcoossee's. Always great experiences...

We have eaten at all 4, and I would rank them as

1. Cali Grill-Excellent service and food; dining room was a bit too busy for us, though. When we go back, we will not dine during Wishes.
2. Citricos-Good food, but we felt like our server was putting on a show and was too over the top. Dining room is beautiful, though.
3. Artist Point-Excellent service, okay food. Dining room is underwhelming.
4. Narcoossees-Good food, terrible service. Our meal took 2-1/2 hours! Very strange server. We would give them another try, though.

For what it's worth, I would eat at Jiko or Yachtsman over any of these any day! YUMMO!

All 4 are great restaurants.
CA Grill, always packed. A little too much b/c EVERYONE wants to see wishes from up there. Good food & service.

Narcoosee's is great. Food & service always wonderful, dined there 6+ times.

Citrico's also good service & food. Food is a little more "over the top" & diverse than the other two.

Artist Point adds some game foods to their menu. No complaints about this one either. All have different ambiance.

I have dined at all but Citricos solo and with company also, the experiences were the same.

I completely agree... well, almost completely. We liked "AP" almost as much as "C" & "N". So, IMHO, it all becomes a matter of what "atmosphere" you want and/or where you are going to be at that time....

Citricos or Flying Fish Cafe.... Flying Fish is not on your list but a very easy walk/boat ride from Epcot -- really great seafood and some boardwalk entertainment too (comedy, juggling, magic) outside the restaurant. Great time there last trip. Review in my link below....

Citricos is a very nice formal experience. Food was delicious and well presented. The lobby of the Grand Floridian is very nice too, lots to look at and a small orchestra plays in the evening.

California Grill -- I like for the seafood and sushi, plus the view. Nice fireworks view I suppose (never seen it), but I really liked the view of the sunset from up that high.

For seafood, the Flying Fish Cafe was MANY times better than Narcoosees. Narcoosees was really just OK, nothing special. And I've been there twice.

I've been to every signature restaurant several times, and Artist Point is my absolute favorite right now. The atmosphere feels very tranquil and serene, and many tables have views of the forest. The Pacific Northwest food isn't something I can get at home every day (while I've been to some local restaurants that offer exactly what Citricos offers, but better), and I think Artist Point's food is mostly delicious.

My second choice would be California Grill - it's noisy, but the food is consistent, and it's the place to go for sushi.

Double post - sometimes my computer glitches up and does this, I swear I never press the "post" button twice!

I guess to add to the discussion, Narcoossee's is okay, but I've been disappointed by the entrees there lately. However, desserts and the Seven Seas Lagoon view are fantastic.

Thank you all for your quick responses. :thumbsup2

We would like to have a more quiet and serene atmosphere, as we are 3 adults. So, I will rule California Grill out. We will do it another year. Right now, we are leaning towards Citricos because we love the Grand Floridian Resort and Artist Point as well. AP wasn't on our list, but I've been seeing great comments about this place and it seems that it would suit us well with what we are looking for in dining at a signature restaurant.

Again, thank you! :)
