Hello fellow Dis'ers,

Called for my ADRs for September and got all of them for the times requested. Yeah!

DH and I need to change one of the ADRs and are looking at going 'upscale' and trying one of the Signature Restaurants (but not character meals -- have plenty already and no shows).

Flying Fish is out b/c DH doesn't care for fish. I know they serve non-fish but since fish is their specialty I'm not so sure he'd feel right eating something else.

Suggestions are appreciated. I've read that the new chef at Citricos was formerly at Narcoossees but the transition hasn't been as smooth, but if anyone has been to Citricos since Feb 2008 and would suggest it, I would consider it.

Thank you, in advance, for your help in making this dining experience decision.

We were at Citrico's Feb 9th 2008 and (as usual) enjoyed a wonderful meal. I tried the new confit of duck dish and it was TDF. We have 2 ressies for our Aug trip already made and it will be top of my list for our NYE ADR. :)

Just about any of the signature restaurants would be a good choice. It really depends on what the two of you want to eat. We give high marks to Artist Point and Yachtsman Steakhouse, but have also enjoyed most of the others. I'd suggest looking at the menu right here on the DIS (click on dining in the menu bar at the top of the page) and decide which offers the most choices for you.

Just returned and my 3 favorites.

Citrico's, GF
California Grill, CR
Artist Point, WL

Our (2) favorite signature restaurants are California Grill & Jiko. We just bought into AKV so we will be able to enjoy many more wonderful meals at Jiko.

I vote for California Grill.

We like to try different restaurants every time we go, but we always reserve one meal for California Grill.

Jiko or Citrico's, you can't go wrong with either one.

Jiko's is by far my favorite signature restaurant. I haven't eaten at Artist Point, but of the others I find Jiko to be quieter and more adult. The setting is beautiful and the food is delicious.

No-one has mentioned the Bistro de Paris and IMO, it's just a small step below V&A's and quite a bit above the other signature restaurants.

Jiko is our choice - its head and shoulders about the others in our eyes

Bistro de Paris is the best (excluding V&A). If you need one that is on the dining plan, then I think JIKO is the best of all of those.

My family loved California Grill.
We loved the CG also. We ate there our first evening. They had the best filet mignon I had ever eaten. My husband enjoyed his grilled pork tendorloin also.
The service is excellant. I think it was definitely worth 2 dining tickets.

Thank you all for chiming in and helping me. It is such a difficult decision, but to know that no matter what we choose we'll probably have a great experience is reassuring.

I have my top 3 choices: Jiko, Narcoossee's and CG -- now I have to follow up and find out which will best accommodate my food allergy (gluten & corn). I keep seeing that flourless molten cake and I hope my name is on one of them -- or something equally delicious.

Thank you all, I truly appreciate your help.

Best Wishes!
