Best Signature Restaurant?

We've decided that we definitley want to try one of the signature (2 TS) restaurants during our upcoming trip - the question now is, which one?

Which is the most worth using 2 of our TS meals to eat at?

Jiko's looks good and unusual, but we're considering doing the evening safari (we'll be staying AKL concierge) so if we do that, we'll go elsewhere with the DDP.

Narcoossee's - can get lobster, which is a plus, but haven't heard a lot about this place.

CA Grill - gets consistently good reviews.

Artist Point - looks really good and different, and the atmosphere seems like i would be nice, too.

Flying Fish - also don't hear too much about it.

Are there others that I'm missing?

So, of the signature restaurants, if you could only choose 1 of them for your trip, which would be most worth it and why?

Thanks!

In December, we had dinner at Narcoossee, Flying Fish and Jiko.
We liked Flying Fish the best, followed by Narcoossee, and liked Jiko the least. I think that puts us firmly in the minority as most posts here on the Dis say "we loved Jiko", but those were our preferences. We hope to try California Grill next year.

My last trip in 12/05 I ate at California Grill,Yachtsmen Steakhouse, Narcooses and Jiko. All the meals were pretty good.I would not go out of my way to go back to YSH or Narcoose's.If I go back to California Grill I will pay OOP because I ordered a flatbreatbread(appetizer about $10.00)and the pork tenderlion as an entree which was very good( was about $24.00). I was not impressed with the dessert I had so I would probably not worry about ordering one next time, so that would put my meal at $34.00 plus tip. I would much rather eat at Le Cellier and The Concourse steakhouse than waste 2 credits at CG again. I am also considering Artist Point on my next trip in 12/07,but after looking at the menus it seems they have a fixed menu that will let me have the food that I want for $49.99. I think that is a great deal. I figure that a signature restaurant meal needs to come close to $60.00-$70.00 for me(traveling alone) to be a good deal. That being said I ate at Jiko last year and just loved it.I had the chicken flatbread (appetizer)and the tenderloin and mac and cheese(entree) and the chocolate pistachio creme brulee(dessert). This was the best meal of my trip.I am staying at AKL in 12/07 and I am considering eating there twice because there are so many great foods to try. I am looking forward to trying Citricos my next trip.
Have fun!!!!!!!!:)

Artist Point has been the best since it opened, and continues to be. It is the only place we've been blown away time after time. The service is first-rate, and the food is wonderful. I'm so devoted to this place that I go back even after perhaps contracting food poisoning from raw buffalo there (not proven!). :) It's that good.

Jiko is another great choice, perhaps as good as Artist Point, but we've only been there once, so I cannot rave about it as much as I can about Artist Point.

Citricos has wonderful service, and great atmosphere, but the food is just "okay" in my book. California Grill has a great view, and nice food, but the service is consistently inconsistent. Narcoossee's is similar to California Grill in that regard: Good food, and good view, but the service isn't reliable. Flying Fish has great food, but the atmophere is simply too frenetic for my tastes, and the service isn't as consistently good as Artist Point. I don't have strong feelings about Yachstmans Steakhouse, either way.

Brown Derby is excellent -- the best restaurant in the theme parks. Its service is almost always great, and the food always is. I wouldn't say it is better than Citricos, but it doesn't have to be because it has that distinction of being in the theme park.

I LOVE California Grill - took a group and we all were so happy with our meals and the view for the fireworks is really amazing.

I took a different group to Narcoosee's, and again, we had a very good meal. We really liked this restaurant for the dining plan - we found the options to be really good.

I recently did a poll here on the few restaurants I have left to eat in, and Artist Point had the highest ratings. Here is a link to the poll, if you want to see other highly ranked restaurants

Have fun eating!

Thanks everyone for the comments. It sounds like I can't really go wrong with any of them, but since we'll likely be eating @ Jiko's on the safari, and my mom really likes lobster, we'll probably end up spending our 2 TS credits at Narcoossee's. It will be a nice way to end the trip with a lobster dinner!

But, if anyone has any more suggestions, keep them coming!

I'd definitely go with Jiko and Narcoosee's is a nice choice too. We did not have a good meal or good service at Artist Point, but many people here like it. Good luck!
