Many of the OP's questions ask for people to recommend what is "best" -- "best" is a completely subjective term. What is the best show, best meal, best ride, best hotel, etc. to the OP may well not be best for someone else.
To the OP: please give more specific information about what you want when you ask for recommendations (e.g. what do you want, how do you define "best"?, etc.), and you will get much better answers on the boards.

Perhaps she is not asking "what is the best for someone else?" but is
asking what you YOU think is the best. Each person can say with is best.

The best shows in the State? That's funny. How about this?

The best show in the State is the sun setting into the Pacific ocean. Maybe
not best for someone else, but best for me.

I didn't interpret her question as asking "what is best for someone else," but understood her to be asking the DISers to tell her what is the "best" (not subjective, but objective) show (what kind of show?) for her to see in the whole state of California. Rather a vague question, in my opinion. As far as I know, there isn't a "one size fits all" answer to her question, given the lack of parameters.
My answer was meant to express that there are many, many shows of many, many kinds in this state and that what one person deems "best" may well be "worst" to the OP. There really isn't one answer across the board to her question. I like your answer, but I also know a few people who don't like being outdoors and don't care for sunsets. Go figure... To illustrate my point, your recommendation for "best" would not be helpful to these people because it wouldn't fit their definition of best/what they want to see. Some people might recommend touring Hollywood as a "best" experience, but others would steer people away from such a tourist trap. It's so subjective (which was my point).
It would be easier for the DISers to help the OP if she clarified what she likes and wants to see/do here in California. Then we could more easily recommend things that she might really enjoy, not simply tell her what we enjoy (unless that is actually what she was asking for). Hope this makes sense.

The OP poses these same vague questions on the WDW boards. I'm sure she just wants to see people disagree over the interpretation of her inquiries.

And so I answered not for people who don't like being outdoors and don't care for sunsets, but I answered the question.

Actually, no, she didn't get my goat! As I stated above, since I don't know her and she hasn't given much info about herself, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. You assume she was trying to get people's goat. And you assume that she got mine. I tried to assume that she was ignorant, but sincere, and, therefore, tried to find out more about what she wanted. I think we all know plenty of older people who don't express themselves well via computer. Thus, my assumption that she's sincere, but vague. If she wants people simply to list what they like, fine. But since she hasn't clarified in any way other than to ask more vague questions in other threads, we can't know. You think she's funny, and she may well be trying to be humorous (for her sake, I hope so), but if she is serious, then your assumption may be hurtful to her. As I said, we just can't know more until she gives more info.
