I do kind of see where the OP is coming from, but of all the shows I've watched the one I go back to more than any other is Friends. I think maybe there's a difference between "best" and "favorite". I think Mad Men is simply brilliant.

Friday Night Lights is by far the best show on TV right now. It's a shame not more people watch it... the 5th and final season will start sometime in late spring.

And I'm from MA and still think it's awesome, DisneyCowgirl!

Aimros: Friday Nights Lights final season has been playing on DirecTv. For some reason DirecTv gets it first and then it shows later on NBC. I love that show and will really miss it.

The only reason FNL is still playing is because DirectTV saved it. They got first viewing rights for Season 4 and Season 5. Then NBC gets it.

Of course but a few people have asked why I didn't include "Big Bang Theory" on my list. Clearly it's a funny show with some cute acting but I don't see how you could argue it's the "BEST" show on TV. It might be one's favorite but "BEST" entails so many different things such as acting, plot, character development, etc. that I don't see how a 30 minute comedy could qualify.
