Ladies -- where is the best place to shop for something fun to wear on Mexicali night on the Magic? Not necessarily looking for a terrific bargain, although that would be nice. Nothing available here in NC -- it should be snowing here soon. Looking for something along the lines of Tommy Bahama, but would like to get something I couldn't get at home. Have DD-17, DD-13 and DH to shop for also --

Thanks for your suggestions.

I didn't purchase anything here but my dh did - there is a little "strip mall" type section of shops in the area where the Shipwreck museum is and they had a pretty nice selection for everyone and all sizes. We didn't look in any of the shops at Mallory Square but I would assume some of those shops would also have some nice things. Maybe email Shirley Nelson if she doesn't see this post and she might be able to help you.

They actually had some cute Tommy Bahama and other brand things that may work for you in the ships stores! We were on the 10/12 wonder and they were cute and on sale.

There are some of the neatest shops on Fitzgerald St which is where Keno Shoes are -----they are reasonable etc - if you wish, you can give them one of my business cards and they will give you conch rates as Vinny from The Touch of Gold, does - again know there is NO KICKBACKS for me - I pay the same as you would --cocnh rates ----I too love Fast Buck Freddie, which is located on the corner of Fleming and Duval Street - they are very pricey, but oh my gosh they have awesome stuff --by the way that once was the only shopping place for conchs during "my years" --it was the S & H Kress 5 and dime store - anyhow they do have cute clothes - I will be going home next week - will check out all the new stuff and let you know when I get back.
Meanwhile everyone have an awesome week.
Always
Shirley

Thank you all for your information - I will be including this in my Passporter for our trip!

Just another suggestion. We shopped in Cozumel for Mexicali-night clothes. The two 11yo girls got cute matching skirt/top sets. Mom and I got dresses and the boys all got festive shirts. The prices were very reasonable and I"m sure they would have come down some if I had haggled (long story...had 20 minutes to shop after our Tulum excursion...bought at the prices they quoted...still a good deal IMO). I thought that the clothes in Cozumel fit the Mexicali... theme better than the tropical-wear in Key West.

Have fun on your cruise!
