We've never stayed here, so we don't know which areas, floor, etc. to request. We won't be traveling with kids, and won't use the pool, so proximity to that isn't an issue.

Any recommendations on view, areas to request?

We had a balcony facing the pool on the 4th floor which gives you a nice tropical, "I'm on vacation feeling" setting, but we had a lot of early morning pool noise...kids screaming and splashing, which didn't bother us since we are the proud owners of one of those little pool monsters, but you might want to request an outside room if you're not an early riser.

We stayed there for 3 nights in January. The hotel was just ok in my opinion, but we had gotten a great deal and it's in a good location so we were satisfied.

We had trouble checking in with getting a key that didn't work, and then getting a key that did, but finding guests already staying in the room, etc., which wouldn't have been a big deal, but we were tired and the hour we spent lugging our stuff back and forth to the lobby made us have to rush to a PS in wrinkly clothes. For compensation, we were given free vouchers for the breakfast bar which I thought was better than most, the food was hot and the servers were great.

The room was big and clean, but dim.. I had read other complaints about this and wondered "what the heck?, they must be really fussy", but every time I reached for the switch and then realized the lights were already on, I laughed, lol.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I have a question:bounce: The website says the pool is only open until dusk-- is this accurate? I mean dusk at this time of year is 6pm. We are staying here next month for 2 nights via priceline. We like to swim sometimes after going to the parks. Most hotel pools are usually open until at least 9pm.

Thanks for the great info! We will request a quiet room. I know that many hotels consider a pool view a bonus, but sometimes you can get a lot of noise.

We're getting in very late, so I hope we don't have the key issue! It was nice that they gave you breakfast for your trouble though.

Did you have a sweet sleeper bed in your room? I think they are supposed to be like the Westin's heavenly beds.

The slide is only open until dusk. The pool itself is open until 11 pm but as long as you are quiet, they will not mind you being in longer.

My only suggestion for room location is to avoid the 6th floor in the main building...Not sure that the building number is, but the buliding where the main lobby is.

We stayed here in Dec for 6 nights on the 6th floor. There are several meeting/Conference rooms on this floor. There is a lot of noise in the middle of the night as that is when the set up and take down these rooms for the conferences. Lots of glasses clanging and stuff like that.

Yes, the beds were the new ones, they even have one on display in the lobby you can try out which looked kind of odd to me, lol. They are comfy and there were 2 or 3 extra pillows in the closet.

I don't think the pool area is ever locked at night because it's kind of a cut through to the lobby building from the other buildings...there are 4 buildings creating a square around the pool. I recall people using the hottub after 9 or 10 when we got back from the Luau. There were also tables outside of the bar so that you could sit by the pool with drinks.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
