Our favorite section is the 50's. It's close to the food court and the bus stop and it's not a preferred section that costs extra

I enjoyed the themeing of the 90's section but the problem was it was pretty far away from the main building. I also got lost trying to find my room because I went in the wrong rubics cube stairwell, I cant recall if the other sections have similar stair wells like that. If I were to go again I would request a room in the 70's.

I like the 60's, lake view room (I think it's standard). Because its still close enough to the pool and food court, yet quiet. I even requested the same section/room for our upcoming trip!

Cheers!

When we stayed there, we were in 70's which was a quick walk to the food court and the bus stop. We didn't even pay for preferred and it was a great location. :thumbsup2

We have stayed at pop numerous times as you can see. I have Pop down to a science! We have stayed in two buildings and two buildings only due to my desire to have convenience and quiet. The first is the building 5, 4th floor. I think the actual number as 5413. It is the corner room on the back side of the building. That way you have the convenience of being close to Classic Hall without the noise of the pool. The view is of Hourglass lake and being on the corner, you don't have a lot of traffic.

The other building we have stayed at and really like is the #3 building. The room we have stayed at is 3413. Again, this is a corner room, top floor so it is quiet. You look out onto the hourglass lake, It is not quite as close to the Classic Hall but still, not bad. We like this building because we drive to the parks to avoid the hassle of the buses. You can just take the lakeside promenade right to the parking lot.

My suggestion is that you attach a room or building request to your reservation. Follow it up with a letter to the resort about 3 weeks before you show up. They have been wonderful about accomodating us. We have enjoyed our stay there and only have moved up to Moderate because of the free dining in Sept. that was more cost effective for the moderates for once! Now I need to find out what is the best building. Hope this helps.

i've stayed at pop a few times to know what i like and what i dont...

i've stayed in 50's buildings 1 and 2. loved them both. very short walk to the main hall with a few added steps to transportation. would strongly recommend this location.

i've also stayed in building 8, the only 90's building. the only complaint i'd have is the distance. its not terrible, but not convenient. the shortest walk to the transportation area and the main building is through the parking lot -- cutting between parked cars. not fun.

overall great resort, i'd take an overnight stay in building 8 again over a day at my desk working -- enjoy!

We have stayed in the 50's 60's and 70's.

Our room in the 70's was in the courtyard by the twister. It was our favorite. Close to everything. And was nice and shady

I love the 70s and 80s we love the Pop and would stay there any time. It's a value and thats what you get a value don't expect anything over the top or anything deluxe at this resort but its one of the best value resorts with the exception of the new AoA.

disney lover at heart

I've stayed in every section except 60s and I always request 50s because of its location and its own pool. The flower pool is SO loud during the day because of the pool parties.

Our's was the 50's section as well. It's still pretty close to classic hall and the transportation without paying or the preferred room. Plus it's much quieter than the 60's building and it has it's own pool, too.

They all have their good points. On our first two trips we stayed in the fifties and I love the Lady and the Tramp theming. One trip we were in the ninties with a view of the pool. This was nice but it is really not a resort where you spend time looking out the window. It was close to the shortcut to the buses through the parking lot. Locationwise I think my favorite section was when we stayed in building 6. It was close to Classic Hall but not noisy from the pool.

60s, near the bridge, facing the lake, on opposite side of the pool. Nice, quiet area, close to pool and main building.
