I remember seeing a website once that told you the best seats on a plane.
Does anyone know what it is?

Is the back of the plane generally more 'bumpy'?

The exit row seats don't tilt back, right?
But have more leg room?

Is it best to be in front of the wing, or behind it?

Any other tips would be great!
thanks
:)

Right over the wing is the most stable part of a plane - where you will be least likely to feel minor turbulence. Tail feels it more (I had to use the rear bathroom on my last trip and what I thought was a smooth trip was pretty jiggly back there!!:scared1:).

Exit rows might be a tad wider - we don't use them since we have young kids.

Here's a link to a forum I've used before - lots of useful info even if you don't generally have a fear of flying:

Since you are looking at United - if you have no elite status with United, you will be seated in Economy - (as opposed to Economy Plus) that is the back 2/3 of the plane.

You will not be able to select an exit row at time of booking.

You WILL be able to pay to upgrade to Economy Plus, either at checkin or at the gate

Otherwise even if EconomyPlus has seats free after takeoff, you will be seated in the back 1/3 of the plane.

Many airlines allow their preferred frequent flyers (those who fly over 25,000 miles in a year) to book exit row in advance. It can be hard for a non-preferred to get them. You must be 15 years old or over and be physically able to operate the exit to sit there. They do recline as long as there is not an exit row behind.
