:badpcWhen are you planning to go again or going to one of the Disney parks? New Years, going for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Spring Break? Summer times?

Those times you mention are the busiest times of the year in Disney. We are going in 29 days in October. Can't wait.

Agree with PP, October is awesome! Definitely the best time of year with the Halloween decorations, MNSSHP and Food and wine. The weather is warm, but not humid and the crowds are manageable. It's our favorite time to go.

Alas, we have a middle school aged child and do not want to take him out of school so it will be a while before we return at that time. Our decision not to take hime out.

This year we are going during Christmas time but I always prefer a fall trip. If I choose late September, crowd levels are low, room prices are super cheap and I can even catch the start of MNSSHP.

I think the nicest times to go are: early May, late Sept/early Oct, and early December.

We are taking our first September trip in a few days, so I can't give a report on that just yet! We've heard it will be a bit warm, but crowds should be very low. But, we have gone the week BEFORE Christmas and it was amazing. It was not super-crowded since we checked out on 12/22. But, we still got the "Disney Christmas" experience with decorations, Osbourne lights, etc. Weather was beautiful then too (warm enough during the day for shorts, hoodies and jeans in early morning and at night).

We've done Jan, Feb and March trips and weather was great then too, but park crowds were hit or miss. At those times we ran into some big groups - cheerleading and sports groups at the resorts and parks - which created a little bit of chaos. Nothing unmanageable, but something to think about.

So far out of the 4 trips we took to Disney World, this one right now has the lowest crowds, which means less waiting for rides, less bumping into people, etc. It was a very enjoyable trip for us. We have also went on Easter, another time around Spring break, and once at the end of May for Star wars weekend. All 3 other trips were insane, although the May trip wasn't as packed as Spring break...however the May trip I remember it rained a lot.

We don't have another trip booked yet (We are leaving Disney late tonight...boooo) but I'd like to plan the next one for end of September or sometime in October. :-)

As a farm family, we always go during January or February. Weather is generaly awesome (MUCH warmer than Idaho winter temps...well, with the exception of some nights! LOL), crowds are never too much, lines aren't bad (sometimes nonexistent), etc. We've gone during the marathon and the cheerleading stuff, but other than seeing bigger groups of people together at certain times throughout the vacation, we don't notice any difference otherwise. Granted, we've never traveled at any other time of the year, but I don't think we would. We've considered September but I would be concerned about temperatures.

The best time I've ever visited was in mid-February. The weather was perfect, I don't think I even needed a jacket just long sleeves. There were no crowds. I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes for any ride.

We are currently planning a mid-November trip, we'll see how it goes.

I seem to like October... I went last October, going this October, and planning for next October.

This year we spent a week in January. The weather was beautiful. Not too hot but very sunny. It was great because we weren't worn out by the heat and the lines for rides was minimal.

We also found no wait at any restaurant (except T-Rex) and traffic was very light.

It is clearly the off-season and we really reaped the benefits. We will definitely go back at that time of year again.

We went last year the week after Thanksgiving. It was awesome, the weather was great! Warm enough for shorts and to swim but not sweat your mouse ears off hot. Lines were super short and crowds were low. Plus all the holiday decorations are up.

Now we're going again for another week and leave this Friday. I'm preparing for low crowds like last trip but for it to be much hotter. I dread the heat but am looking forward to low crowds. To me crowd level makes all the difference in experience.

We love May, but I work in a school, so that's a no-go now. For people with kids in school, the end of August is pretty good, although very hot, rainy, and in hurricane season. But it's usually not crowded and onsite rooms are cheap.

I'm going to vote Fall. As a kid (9 to teenager) we went a lot, and always in the fall. I think times were a little different then- my mom called the teachers, got our assignments, and we had to complete them on the drive there and back.

My first trip as a parent we went during Christmas break, and I'll never do that again. Insane crowds.

Our next trip we plan to pull the kids out of school for a week in the fall. 4th grade and preschool.
