Any thoughts on the best seafood restaurants around - either on Disney property or within reasonable driving distance?

I recommend the FF at the BW or Narcoosee's at the GF.

Stay away from Fulton's at DTD.

Fulton's is dirty, rude servers, the quality of there seafood is poor, and over priced.

Thanks.

Is this your opinion after 1 visit?

I gotta chime in on that one................We've been to Fulton's 4 times over our last 5 trips............and never had any of that negative stuff indicated in the prior post..........

We've always found it to be excellent food, average to above average service.......................and I've never seen anything that would indicate, 'dirty'..........................Sometimes loud, but we like that atmosphere.............lots of stuff going on...........

Pricey..............well................Yes, but $7.50-$10.00 glasses of wine will do that to your check.........

Just trying to give the place a fair shake............

  <-- My wife and I after several glasses of wine and 12 King Crab claws..................

Gotta disagree about Fultons.

We have been a few times and its always very clean and we have had excellent servers. The food is the best seafood we have ever had. I personally don't even find it expensive as I believe the food and service are worth it.:thewave:

"Bahama Breeze" located on 535 just off Route 4 (5 minutes from SSR). Great seafood with a Carribean flair. You will not be dissapointed. Get there early- gets crowded.

DH dined at Fulton's again yesterday on business. (He often dines there when in Orlando.) He said it was fantastic , as usual! He loves the Alaskan Salmon and the milk chocolate creme brulee. I love the crab cakes! It has always been very clean when we have dined there. The service, while very efficient, is not known to be overly Disney-friendly. We know that and just enjoy the delicious food.

Can only speak for our family, but we thought Fulton's was great. One of the best meals we have had in 6 trips to WDW. Server was outstanding, food was awesome, we enjoyed it. We will be trying it again this July, we'll let everyone know.

Thanks guys - I missed the other thread.

Based on our four previous meals at Fultons ,it has undoubtedly the most rude and indifferent service of all the restaurants at WDW. From the podium greeters, through the servers and right on down to the table cleaning staff--these folks could care less if you enjoyed your visit or not, or if you ever came back.
Now that said, the food is pretty good (tho $$$).

Flying Fish is a pretty good seafood spot--in fact, most of the hotel table service spots have several nice seafood entrees.

Offsite, the Celebration Town tavern has a nice selection of seafood.

Uncle,
DH dined at Fulton's day before yesterday and came home with a story for me. He said he saw something happen that he would never have imagined happening at any WDW restaurant. He said the table next to his had a bunch of men (maybe women, too) from a part of the country known for it's distinctive "accent". He said they really were very loud and obnoxious but we have observed that often during our dining experiences. Would you believe that the hostess went over and told them to quiet down--that they were being too disruptive? THAT--I have never seen. My DH was shocked that a WDW hostess would dare to say such a thing. (Though he was appreciative that things quieted down.) It was then that I reminded him that Fulton's is NOT a WDW owned restaurant. Ahhhh--now it made sense! Yeah--I would say she was rude, but in this case....;)

I was trying to see where everyone was from? Anyone out there from an Eastern Seaboard state that is used to really fresh, really AWESOME seafood have a comment? DBF and I are from Maryland and have pretty high standards for seafood. Not trying to sound snobby- we really are cheeseburger and fries kinda people, but not when it comes to seafood :)

With all this being said about Fultons both good and bad, we are going to try it next month and will post a review when we return. ::MickeyMo

We've tried Fulton's 3 times. Each time was worse than the one before. Both service and food was plain horrible. Never again. Threehearts

SRUAlmn -- I am from an Eastern Seaboard state. Grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts and now on the New Hampshire Seacoast.

I am used to really fresh seafood, lobster, chowda, steamers. There is a reason its called a "New England Clam Bake".!!

Sorry posters, Fulton's doesn't compare.

When I ate at Fulton's I did not care for it. It was like an over priced Red Lobster. We also at at the Coral Reef in Epcot and we really hated that. I have read bad things about Capt'n Jacks but have never tried it. Maybe try the Flying Fish Cafe. I have not eaten there either but have read good things. Maybe someone else can tell you more about it. If I was from MD I don't think I would bother getting seafood at Disney, since MD has the best. MD crabcakes... yum!
