Best seafood? (1 Dining credit only please)

Are you staying at OKW? you can also get the Conch Fritters at Gurgling Suitcase, I don't think they take DP, I'm sure you wouldn't need ADRs.

I suspect you'll have a few folks recommend Cape May. But no, never. Just not good - poor quality and preparation, not to mention a very blah atmosphere. Teppan Edo offers shrimp that is good. 'Ohana has good shrimp as well. Boma had a very good seafood soup. Captain's Grille has a few decent seafood options. Chefs de France has a pretty good salmon dish.

IMO, it will get a lot of recommendations because it deserves it, especially for one TS credit. It is more of a variety seafood buffet, not fine dining. The OP is only looking to use one TS credit, so that needs to be taken into account accordingly.

OP, our family loves Cape Mays. The interior of the restaurant doesn't have the theming of other locations like Coral Reef, Ohana, etc, but it has a large variety of good seafood options. We love going to Cape Mays on an Epcot or a HS day and walking or taking a friendship boat there. The outdoor area of the Beach Club, with the beach out front looking across at the Boardwalk is one of my favorite location in all of WDW.

I acknowledged that Cape May gets good reviews on Trip Advisor and that it offers the best seafood selection of the 1 credit places. I simply don't think the food is worth even 1 credit, nor did the other 2 seafood lovers who were in our dining party. But again, there are lots of people who do like it, and think it is a must do when they visit Disney.

I'm from AL and eat fresh seafood regularly. I was very disappointed in the quality of food at Cape May. I've decided to skip seafood at WDW because they're not going to have the seafood quality we get here.

Agree. I can be anywhere from Destin to Gulfport and all points in between in 90 minutes or less from home...and I've never been anything but disappointed in seafood offerings at WDW. I went in with low expectations, and they still weren't met.

I'm originally from Cajun Country and NOLA and I kind of agree. I never have been as over the moon about the Disney eats as many and I'm thinking it could be because I always order seafood. I do eat a lot of seafood at WDW because I'm not a huge meat person. It's usually fine but rarely outstanding, even at the Signatures. We've done Cape May for breakfast but never dinner.

I suggested The Wave because they almost always have a fairly simple preparation of a seasonal fish. I find with Disney the less they do to a seafood dish the better I like it.

Oddly enough I've had amazing fish in Las Vegas right there in the middle of the desert.
