Jiko has seared jumbo scallops with golden brown mealie pap and spicy tomato-onion Chaka-Laka. My wife had this meal in December and said that it was excellent.
I too had the FANTASTIC scallops at Jiko, however my last trip I had the same only mediocre scallops...This isn't to say I wouldn't reccomend them (because I'm going back this weekend to give them another try)!
Also, I had great scallops at Flying Fish and Artist Point...The AP scallops WERE wrapped in Bacon if I recall and they were comparable to Jiko. The FF scallops stand out as they were served with a great risoto (all of FF's risoto's are great, but this one was memorable). Oh, I can't pick a favorite!
Keep in mind that the scallops at WDW come at a dear price. Most entrees have but 4 on the plate-some 5. The "per scallop" cost (as we found out at Flying Fish) can come to $6.00-$7.00.
I had them at BlueZoo. They were pretty big and very good, but also ran about $6 each. It got the appetizer scallops plate, but I'd assume there is a scallops dinner (or at least they'll make you one).
Pirate:
I honestly don't remember--it was Mrs. U who had them, but I did the scallop count
vettechick:
I may well try them out next trip to the Blue Zoo.
