Okay, I have looked at lots of threads and photos and still can't find an answer to my question. Where is the best sandwich in Disneyland Resort? It sounds like the Riverbelle Terrace might make "carver" sandwiches with the meat carved from the bone. Is that the case? Anyway, we know we will burn out of burgers, pizza, chicken nuggets and the like and want an option here and there for different stuff....and we like sandwiches!

PS Keep your Monte Cristos....yummy...but we're looking for a crusty roll, meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese sort of sandwich!

at cafe Orleans ..............
Mardi Gras Chicken Sandwich - Blackened Chicken Breast with Cajun Spices and Avocado Relish on a Multigrain Roll served with a tossed Mixed Greens Salad. $15.99

:thumbsup2 not so much crusty bread but a decent roll. I am a sourdough kind of gal :woohoo:
but the Cajun spices, plum tomatoes and gherkins on the side are a winner for me I have a hard time ordering anything else :wizard:

Cafe Steak Melt at Carnation Cafe. :thumbsup2

I think RBT would be my choice for best sandwich. And yes, they use "real" meat (carved) instead of deli meat. They also have lots of toppings you can add. That's one of my favorite places to eat at DLR.

Oh, I also really like the chicken breast sandwich at Storytellers but not sure if that's the type of sandwich you're looking for. It's also more expensive being at a sit-down restaurant.

I have to agree. Close to where I am staying,WWS. Outside the park close, Cortinas, I think it is on E. Orange.

I really like the pretzel bread sandwich at Carnation Cafe, of course I can't remember what's inside, I just love the bread. I love getting half a sandwich and a cup of their divine potato soup. The best meal in the park if you ask me!

I think the best sandwich I ever had there was at La Brea in DTD but that was almost 10 years ago. They make their own bread and had many choices. We each built our own sandwich and sides ans really enjoyed them. I remember thinking it was expensive but it was good! Like I said though that was a long time ago and it could have changed drastically by now.

I've never had a sandwich at RBT though. I may have to try one someday, considering all the good reviews it seems to be getting.

Everyone's suggestions sound great and I love hearing that there in fact is freshly sliced meat at RBT. We usually do the same things every trip and this time we're going to work in some new favorites! Keep 'em coming...we leave Saturday...plenty of time for me to work up a menu!

Another vote for the turkey-on-pretzel-bread-served-with-baked-potato-soup :thumbsup2

And also...

The openfaced meatloaf sandwich at Carnation Cafe' = :cloud9: !!!

I actually really like the turkey focaccia sandwich that is available at hungry bear (and tomorrowland terrace, closed now tho). It is delicious, filling and comes with either apples or fries (I believe, I always get apples!).

My only complaint about the RBT sandwiches...they're $12.95! So, IMHO, its about a 5 inch roll that its on...so not the best portion/price value. Yes, it does include beans and a side. But once you add a drink, and pay for the rest of the family to eat, its just not for me.

I really liked the veggie sandwich at CC. I thought it was very very good, I paired mine with the loaded baked potato soup. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I also like the RBT sandwiches, DBF and I shared a turkey and it was plenty for 2. Very very good!
Of course the MC but you nixed that one so..... ;)

As for burgers, chicken sandwiches, go to Taste Pilot's Grill!!!!!!! OMG, YUM! I love love love the Wild Bleu Yonder burger, I leave off the steak sauce and add tons of BBQ instead. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a chicken and guacamole sandwich at WWS in the GCH - plus they have some other things there that are good, too.

Not a sandwich by any means, but DH and I really liked the lobster nachos at Cove Bar (upstairs at Ariel's Grotto). They had limited hours when we were there in Nov. - just weekends, I think, but they have some fun choices.
