I am trying to plan out our trip later this year and want a good restaurant that has a great Salmon dish on the menu. Anyone had a particularly impressive dish at any of the locations that they would recommend?

The best salmon I've had at Disney was at Brown Derby.

Grilled loch duart salmon, over greens with peaches and blue cheese, with a fig and honey sauce/dressing. It's slightly different now, as the sides are seasonal, looking at the last updated All Ears menu, right now it comes with sauteed autumn vegetables and blue cheese polenta cake.

The cedar plank-roasted salmon at Artist Point is also very good. Suprisingly, the other salmon dishes I really liked have all been at buffets, and I can be very picky about buffet food sometimes since some I think lack quality, but Crystal Palace, Tusker House, and Boma, have all had very good salmon.

It used to be the King Salmon 2 ways  at Le Cellier but sadly, that is no longer on the menu.:sad1:

I had a good Salmon dinner at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs when I stayed there in May.

The best salmon dish I've had was at HBD It was before the one you had. It came with a polenta also, but not the blue cheese polenta cake. I'm usually all for changes, but I wish they'd left the salmon dish alone. If they had, you wouldn't have had you favorite salmon dish though. I wonder if we could talk them into preparing it the way we want it. I'll take the cheese polenta from Oct. 2010 & you can have the greens. The grouper dish I had there recently was very disappointing compared to the 2010 salmon dish. I think that was the best entree I've ever had at WDW though.

Artist Point! I had the cedar plank salmon at the beginning of the month, and it was great as always. :)

I've also had really good salmon dishes at Le Cellier (lunch and dinner), Citricos, and Flying Fish Cafe.

I posted the same question last week and almost everyone said Artist Point.

I searched for Salmon and didn't find anything recent. Not sure if the search is having issues. :( Artist Point or Brown Derby it is... :)

Thanks for all the responses! :thumbsup2

Salmon is one of my favorite things ever. I think I eat it almost everywhere its on the menu. Wolfgang Puck Express at the Marketplace has some seriously good Salmon and its a Quick Service! It had brocolini and mashed cauliflower and it was delicious. Has anyone had the Salmon at Be Our Guest?

Hands down...cedar plank salmon at Artist Point. We always make a stop there during our stays.

DH loves the salmon at Artist Point.

We've had good salmon at the buffets, Boma in particular comes to mind.
Chefs de France was good.

The one from HBD looks really good. We were not impressed with HBD when we went last year, but that salmon looks really quite good. Perhaps it's time to give HBD another try?

I heard Artist Point offers Copper River Salmon when it is in season in May. It is a cut above regular salmon.

We going to HBD for Fantasmics Lunch...

We both LOVE salmon, but I am "picky" about salmon! This one looks VERY GOOD THOUGH!:thumbsup2

I think somewhere along the way I read some reviews about "undercooked" salmon both at CDF and HBD..SCARY...undercooked salmon is "not my thing".:scared1::scared1:We have ADR's for both, so maybe either me or DS will give it a try!

Thanks for the DELICIOUS looking pic!:goodvibes:dance3:

My opinion is biased as I usually stick to QS's. But my mother & I both agreed last week that the salmon from Sunshine Seasons was delicious! And you can't beat the strawberry shortcake there for dessert! :thumbsup2

Agree about the Sunshine Seasons salmon! I had it for lunch in June and it was outstanding. So much better than you'd expect for QS. And the sides were fresh and delicious as well.

We have had the Miso-glazed salmon as a lunch special 2 or 3 times in the last few years at Grand Floridian Cafe and it's been great every time. I noticed recently that it's on their dinner menu.

I had the salmon at BOG in August. It was amazing. Cooked to perfection. The leek fondue it was with was spectacular.

I also really enjoyed the Salmon BLT at SciFi...out of all the amazing food I've had at WDW over the years, it's the one thing I think about on almost a daily basis. I feel like if I'm in love with a food it should be something more fancy, but no...it's the humble salmon BLT, lol!
