We will be in WDW in a couple of weeks.

DS17 is a high school XC runner and will be running every day either early in the morning or late at night.

He will run 45-60 minutes which = 7-10 miles.

Which are the best or favorite paths to do this.

A treadmill is NOT an option.

Thanks!

P.s. We are staying at WL

DH has run at our resort when at Disney. It depends on the resort how far the path will be and he usually has to go around a few times to get in the mileage he needs. It looks like Wilderness Lodge has a 2.5 mile route from there to Fort Wilderness. He probably won't want to go out on the main roads since the speed limit is pretty high and there are no sidewalks. Here's what Disney's website says about running at WL:

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Enjoy a 2.5-mile-long pathway through Resort grounds. For a quick jaunt or to extend your workout, explore the 0.75-mile shaded fitness trail and bike path that connects Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

You picked the best resort for running. He will be able to run around the campgrounds at Fort Wilderness. It will be very easy for him to get in 7-10 miles, but he will be running in a loop. The trails are very scenic and shaded. He will also see a lot of deer on his run. They have absolutely no fear of humans. I ran cross country in high school, and have never given up long distance running. I know how important having a place to run is.

He will need to run on paths and trails at Ft Wilderness. No "cross country" routes anywhere. There is an unlit path between WL and FW about a mile in length, then the areas over at FW. And that is about the best he can do.

If he tries to run alongside the roadways around the resorts and theme parks, he will be stopped by Disney Security.

Ditto. But you have picked the best resort for running options!

Has anyone scoped out any running paths around AKL? I know there is a path between Jambo and Kidani, but I think it is only a half mile or so.

There are none other than the walkway between Jambo House and Kidani Village. Or the treadmills in the gym.
