Best Rope Drop for INCREDICOASTER: GCH vs Main gate

Hello,

We are staying at GCH, and want to rope drop INCREDICOASTER on Sunday (EMH) day.

Which is the best/quickest entrance for IC? GCH or the main gate? This is our first time at DL (VERY excited), but are frequent WDW vets, so we are used to being early rope droppers (we get in line 30-45min prior to opening).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Main Gate always. Odds you’ll make it to the front of the GCH line are basically zero.

Main gate and you’ll want to go to the right past Soarin towards little mermaid for where they hold rope drop.

If they are staying at GCH they get EMH. Last time we did EMH there was no "rope drop". They just started scanned our passes at the gate right with EMH officially started. Was this your experience as well or was there an EMH rope drop as well as official park rope drop?

Thanks for all your advice! Sounds like front entrance is best. I assume that applies for EMH as well as regular park opening hours?

Only guests at the 3 disney hotels can get EMH at California adventure. It's really quite empty except for RSR and GOTG. If you are staying at the GCH, you will be able to walk on to incredicoaster during EMH. Don't stress yourself out waiting 30 minutes before EMH starts. Get max pass for at least your CA EMH day. Arrive about 5 minutes after it starts (I agree with the others, main gate), and you can literally just walk right in. I would be shocked if there is any wait for incredicoaster during EMH. Personally, I would walk in to the park, grab a TSMM fast pass, ride incredicoaster, the probably grab another fastpass (RSR), ride TSMM, Ride Increidcoaster, Ride GOTG and then the park should be open to public. At this point I like to grab breakfast at flows and watch the masses headed for RSR. Grab another fastpass (maybe soarin), use RSR fastpass. By noon you will have hit all the headliners.

We went thru the GC gate for EMH and found it really fast. Line was back to whitewater snacks but it only took about 2 minutes to get through turnstile. Our room was near that gate so it was worth it for us rather than walk all the way around to main entrance.

It was 7am EMH and we got in line about 6:50
