Hello Fello Disney lovers!!!!!!!

I have 4 questions that I would love feedback on. If anyone has any info on the following feel free to respond.!!!

We are leaving for the GF RPC in just 10 short days!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!! However, because we are in the RPC we will be in the main building. We want to request MK views. Does anyone have any specific room #'s (numbers) they would reccommend to us. As you know all reservations get sent to the particular resort (5) days prior to your arrival (until then Central reservations holds them) so we still have a few days until we make the follow-up call. If you know a room # either standard Royal Palm Concierge or even a suite # with a MK view PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!!!!

#2. Also, what other views are available from the GF main building?

#3. Since 8-24 / 8-31 is a slow time (Fla. kids back to school) do you think they will give us an upgrade?

#4. Is the RPC a standard concierge room or are all the rooms in the RPC (main building) deluxe concierge rooms? What is the difference between the two , if any?

Thank you all very much!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RPC has standard size rooms. MK View would be #4301-4309 & #4401-4409.

Deluxe rooms are available (no MK View) for an additional charge ($25-50+ per night). These are very popular.

I would not count on any type of upgrade. Suites and deluxe rooms are ALWAYS booked solid, and it is vary rare that the GF gives a free upgrade (not too many exceptions to that, but it does sometimes happen).

Views from RPC rooms can be Marina (this is the MK view), courtyard pool, or theme pool (and monorail, Polynesian, Wedding Pavilion).

Thanks California Dreaming!

A follow up question... Are the standard size rooms in the RPC the same size as other standard size rooms found in say Boca Chica etc...... Additionally, are the deluxe concierge rooms in the GF RPC larger than the standard rooms in th GF RPC?

Yes, the standard RPC rooms are the same as the rooms in Boca Chica, except the RPC rooms have tray ceilings (a nice touch).

And, yes, the deluxe RPC rooms are larger than the standard RPC rooms.

Actually, the standard rooms are a little better since some have the MK views. :) The deluxe rooms are nice and spacious, they have 2 queens, no daybed. I suppose you could call CRO and see about a deluxe room, but most of the time they are booked up months in advance.

Hi, I just wanted to pass information along about our room. We were at the GF RPC from 7/27-8/3 and stayed in room 4404. The castle was dead center of our balcony. Main building does have 5 floors, but in this area of the hotel (4401-4409), there are no rooms above you, so it was definitely quieter. 4th floor is also the same floor as the concierge lounge. Again, due to the configuration, our room was one of the furthest away from the lounge and elevator, but it also had very little corrider noise. Our room contained 2 double beds and a day bed, but because of the lounge, we never felt confined to our room. It was pretty much just a place to sleep and watch the fireworks off the balcony each night. We found ourselves enjoying the lounge quite a bit. I'd suggest sticking with a standard room and requesting the MK view. I think you'll find yourselves doing the same as us, treating the lounge as your living room and your assigned room as your bedroom.

Either way, enjoy! We had a magical stay and the staff was wonderful.

Does anyone know the numbers of the Honeymoon Suite rooms and which have a MK view?

Yep, I can tell you!

Magic Kingdom View Balcony/Jacuzzi Rooms
#4201-4209

Courtyard Pool View Turret Rooms
#4321/4421/4021

Monorail/Theme Pool View Turret Rooms
#4330/4430/4030

4021 is one of the octagon honeymoon rooms. It is, if I'm oriented right, in the turret on the south east corner of the main building. It has a great view of the Magic Kingdom from one of its seven exposures. In fact, if I remember correctly, the bed is oriented so that you can look directly at the fireworks. I think there is an identical room directly above it, but I don't know the number. It should have the same view.

4021 is on the top floor}}

Yeah, now that I think abou it, that must be right. I know for sure that there are shuttered windows on the red turret above, which I assumed meant a room. But I'm sure they're just for show.

Thanks TammiMcMan

I have a follow up question...... Is room 4404 a standard concierge or a deluxe concierge? Is it enough room for (4) adults? Additionally, How far is it from the concierge lounge? I mean are you the farthest room from the lounge? Was it too far?

I guess it is all ok considering where youre staying and that youre in WDW. :D

Sister Scoop,

4404 is a standard room. We had 5 people, myself, husband, 16 yo, 12 yo and 6 yo. We were very comfortable, but as I said, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. We liked to spread out in the lounge. I know that when I checked, the difference in price between a standard and deluxe room was not very much. Unfortunately, the deluxe had a maximum occupancy of 4 guests. It definitely couldn't hurt to call the GF and question the views on the deluxe concierge rooms. Cali-D might even know the answer to that.

As to the room location, we had to walk down 2 hallways before getting the concierge lounge and elevators. I didn't think that it was too far and we had the added bonus of no rooms above us and less hallway noise. My personal opinion, if you're staying on the 4th floor, I would choose lagoon or mk view. The rooms overlooking the quiet pool are in the hallway directly adjacent to the lounge. Many times when we were passing through, there were children running up and down this area playing. I expect it might be kind of noisy if you were thinking about sleeping in.

Bottom line, I would check on the availability of a deluxe, but don't be too disappointed if they're sold out. GF standard rooms are very comfortable.

Good Luck,
Tammi

The deluxe rooms come in two different floorplans. The one has a view of the quiet pool and is just an oversized room. The other has a view of the theme pool/wedding pavilion/Polynesian/monorail and is far from a traditional set up. The room sorta "fans out" when you walk in. It has a large wrap around balcony, too.

We stayed in 4308 and had a WONDERFUL view of the MK. It was a standard size room, with two queen beds and a day bed. I don't know about being room for 4 adults, since we were 2 adults and 2 children. I didn't feel cramped at all, but it wasn't spacious either. The regular concierge rooms with the MK view are the farthest from the lounge, with the 01 rooms being the farthest. I'd say it was about a 3 - 5 minute walk down the hallways to the lounge, I also had to go up a flight!! Have a GREAT time, we enjoyed our stay!!
