We haven't had a lot of luck requesting particular rooms at the DLH. We always request Adventure (use to be Dreams) Tower, and they don't always give us that, either. We typically pay for a resort or pool view (upper).
Working in your favor may be the fact that you are going in Sept. (low crowds) and staying in concierge. They may be willing to give you want you want due to concierge status.
If I were you, I would just ask for the highest floor possible in Adventure tower, facing the DL park. This way you will have great fireworks views at night. I love that--as well as being able to see downtown disney and DL.
