Best rooms at SWAN

We are staying at the Swan in June for 8 nights. What is the best room/floor/section to request. WE have only paid for standard view. We do have a Starwood card but it does not have any points on it yet. Any help with certain areas to request would be appreciated. Thanks!

We stayed at the Swan June 8-16, 2001 and we LOVED this resort!!! We were on the 5th floor, all the way at the end of the hall, and our room overlooked the Dolphin resort. It was a great room - we even had a balcony! (We had gotten a discount for government workers.) The Swan is a great location for a hotel - an easy walk to Epcot and/or MGM. The grotto pool was really neat - the kids loved it - but we also enjoyed the quiet pool by the Swan. The CM's at the hotel were wonderful. Our room was very quiet and clean. The snack shop by the pool has wonderful ice cream shakes!

Sounds great. I didn't know if they ever gave upgrades on discounted room rates. Here's hoping.
