Hi we are new BCV owners and have just booked two studios there ( stayed at SSR in Nov.) I was wondering what view I should request, would like a view of Storm Along Bay as we had when we stayed at the resort is this possible? If not what are the best views?Thank you for all advice. Also what brooms have big balconies ?

You can't see SAB from BCV. You can ask for a view of the quiet pool, but of course it's not guaranteed. The Villas are a separate building on the opposite side of the resort from SAB.

All the BCV rooms have balconies, but I don't know which rooms have the bigger balconies. Even our 2 BR had multiple small balconies, but some rooms have one large balcony.

Here are some pictures that will give you a idea of the views.

BCV is behind the BC. The only views are the quiet pool with parking lot beyond, woods view, or courtyard view which is the area between the front door and the BC.

Yeah, BCV isn't known for it's views. But a higher floor may give you a little better overview of what you can see from your villa.

You do know that you can't request a specific room, right?

Requests are just that...requests.

You can request a room with a bigger balcony but that means that someone needs to be checking out of the same room type with that big balcony on the same day you are checking in.

That's not always going to happen.

Here's another question to ask yourself...how often are you going to be in the room and on said balcony?

If you are park commando where you are only in the room to eat breakfast and sleep, you probably won't be enjoying that view as much as someone who spends a lot of time at the resort.

Best advice: Make 1-2 requests, if you need to make any at all. Decide what's most important to you and make that your request. But understand the logistics of receiving your requests and that you may not get any of them.

Thank you for all the help and photos:thumbsup2 I know that I may not get my request and that is fine, it can not hurt to try. We are in the parks or at the pool quite a bit and the view is a give or take thing, that being said after the park we (DSIL and I)enjoy sitting outside with a glass of Cab and relaxing after the day with the kids (xl ones and regular sized ones) compare people watching notes ect. so to have a nice view and large balcony is a plua:cool1:.We do not get to sit by ourselves long before DN5 , DN8 and DNF13 come out anyway, to inform us that DD and my DH have overtaken the TV or laptop:happytv::surfweb::) So now I am thinking quiet pool view, extra people watching , and the kids can swim and we can see.

The Dunes Cove pool overlook is rather nice and the pool is seldom really noisy, especially at night. Watch, though, if you get this view it will be noisy, right??? Hope not. We've had that view at least three times and we enjoyed it.

Is the Dunes pool a afr walk from the lobby?

Not from the BCV lobby. It's right out the door. You can take either elevator down from your floor and both will come out close to the pool.

I just reserved at BCV and asked about which views were available (I love woods views). They told me that they no longer have views to request at BCV. So I requested "high floor, quiet area". That gets me a woods view every time (so far). As far as big balconies, I just stayed in 422, and although I loved the studio, it had a very tiny balcony.

I just called and requested a ground level (DN5 thinks she is a monkey) dunes pool view. I hope I get that then we can sit outside and the kids can play whilst we relax.:cheer2: Here is another question. Does anyone know if the ground levels have keyed entery from the outside patio area? I think that would be great.

BCV does not really have any great views. When we went in January, we asked for an "Epcot view" (Disney dosen't call it this) so we could at least see fireworks from illuminations. I don't remember what room we got, but it was on the third floor next to the Maid's closet. This made for a "huge" balcony. The balcony was bigger than the room I think!

Was it a studio? I see you are from Springfield Va, My parents live in Fairfax Station.Small world. I like the idea of a giant balcony.

No, they don't. And the ground floor patios are surrounded by shrubs, so you can't go to the pool from the patio. You'll need to use the doors at either end of the building to head to the pool.
