Just wondering what everybody thinks is the most romantic restaurant in and/or around Disney. My husband and I are going to WDW to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We want to find a great restaurant to enjoy the day and there are so many to choose from. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sharon:cat:

Depends on your budget...

Hubby and I can have romantic meals like this...

Sharing a turkey leg and blueberry drink at lunching pad in MK.

A great meal at Flying Fish, Jiko or Artist Point.

A water table at San Angel Inn.

A patio table at Chefs de france.

Any table at Alfredo's.

Victoria and Alberts.

I think both Citrico and Artist Pt. are romantic and serve excellent dinners. They are my two favorite restaurants in WDW. They are much quieter than many of the others and the service is also excellent.

Victoria and Albert's, hands down. The restaurant is lovely, there's a harpist, and the food is exceptional. It's the only Five Diamond restaurant in Central Florida. It truly is a wonderful dining experience. Any questions, feel free to ask.

I agree 100%. Also add Victoria & Albert's.

I'd vote for Victoria and Alberts, too. Great place for an anniversary. It's a very wonderful dinner and very quiet and very expensive.

ditto for V&A- head and shoulders above anything else in and around WDW, but the prices are head and shoulders above everything else, too. It goes back to the old adage- 'you get what you pay for' :) :)

If you can book the Chef's Table at V&A, get it :) A little more expensive than the main dining room, but worth every penny :)

I agree with all the ideas above,

and I'd like to add that one year DH arranged for a pontoon boat for MK fireworks viewing, booked a violinist to play disney love songs thru disney entertainment, and ordered dinner from GF private dining and roses from rosie at disneys florist.

THIS was a romantic dinner!

Other romantic dinners:
private dinner on the beach at GF
CA Grill for fireworks
V & A - always incredible
Dinner at CRT - sitting by the back window for fireworks
Horse drawn carriage ride and then a moonlight picnic

IN Disney: Victoria & Albert's . Not even close.

AROUND Disney: Delfino Riviera @ Universal's Portofino Bay Resort

Add me to the V&A list--.
If the $$$ is too much (it is expensive) then Citricos is a good choice. Bistro D' Paris is the most romantic of the Epcot spots, and Mrs. Uncleromulus likes Palio quite a bit. California Grill is a great spot, but dosen't seem terribly romantic. But if you ask to be seated in the "wine room", it's a lot more subdued. Come fireworks time, all you need do is walk out to the observation deck.
Can't help with off property since we rarely do that. We did go to Arthur's 27 a couple trips ago--nice, sort of romantic, pretty nice view. Just was missing something that kept it from being at the V&A level tho---.

Oh Yes, Delfino over at the Portofino at Universal..now that is romantic...we love that place.

Hi Uncleromulus.

I agree with your thoughts on Arthur's 27. I appreciate that it is a local favorite- but it just didn't do it for me, either :) We like the CG a lot also as far as food quality goes, but as you noted the atmosphere is lacking. Another .02 worth in the till...

We really enjoyed Wolfgang Puck's upstairs ...the dining room. We had a great view of the lake, wonderful food and service and it seemed more adult than downstairs.

Thank you all so much! Keep it coming. All of your suggestions have given my hubby and I alot to "digest" (Ha ha...groan)! We love looking at restaurants and analyzing them to the point of nauseum. We honeymooned in New Orleans for the restaurants. When we are at WDW, we are staying at Port Orleans - French Quarter. Can't wait!

Keep the suggestions coming. We love your input!!

Depends on the budget, but the most romantic would be private dining aboard the Grand One with butler service.

Just how expensive are we talking for Victoria and Alberts? Everyone mentions how expensive it is, but what could we expect for a meal for 2. Also, anyone know how expensive the chefs table is?

If I remember correctly, our check in July 2003 for the two of us with the wine pairings was about $350, including tax and tip. I think the Chef's Table would be maybe $20 more per person. It's one of our favorite experiences in WDW and I can't wait until our meal there in July. It really is delicious!

I got married at WDW 3 years ago so I'm a bit partial to Narcoossee's, where we had our reception for our intimate wedding. Food was FANTASTIC!!! And we got to walk out on the dock to see the fireworks - that made it even more special.

Whatever you do, have a romantic evening!!!!!

My votes would be Citricos and Jiko's but I haven't tried Victoria and Albert's.

Rhonna :)
