Hello! We will be travelling with our 3 kids, and my parents. My mom and my 6 year old do not like thrill rides. No spinning, dropping, going too fast, ect. What are your favorite non-thrill rides at the parks?

Haunted Mansion
Space Ship Earth
POTC (1 tiny drop)
VOTLM
Peter Pan
People Mover

Toy story, ride in Mexico(EPCOT), boat ride across the lake in EPCOT.

These are outside of the parks and free!
Boat ride from MK to WL and the W campsites,
Boat ride from MK to GF, Poly,
Boat rise from EPCOT to HS.

At 5-6, my kids loved Peter Pan, Dumbo, Haunted Mansion, Magic Carpets, Pirates, and the Ariel ride. Their grandma loves those and really loves It's a Small World. They did also like Soarin and the safari, but they weren't super keen on even Toy Story Mania (weirdos).

Mk - Peter Pan, Peoplemover, Little Mermaid, Pooh
Epcot - Living with the Land, Mexico Boat Ride, Spaceship Earth, Nemo
AK - Safari
HS - Toy Story Mania

A few more PP haven't mentioned:

MK ~ Tomorrowland Speedway, Prince Charming Regal Carousel
Epcot ~ Frozen Ever After
HS ~ Minnie and Mickey's Runaway Railroad
AK ~ Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch

MK - PofC, HM, Peoplemover, Buzz Lightyear ( you don't have to spin the car ), Mickey's Philharmagic, a ride on the monorail around the lagoon.
EP - Living with the Land,Spaceship Earth, Frozen Ever After
HS - Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, Toy Storm Midway Mania, Muppet Vision 3D.
AK - the Lion King show, the Finding Nemo show, Navi River Cruise

Depends on the "drop" limit... Pirates of the Caribbean has a drop, it is a little drop, but a drop none-the-less. So does Frozen in EPCOT, and Soarin can be intimidating if there is a fear of heights, or feelings of flying. Toy Story Mania is a bit disorienting, IMO. If you question any of them, try to watch them on youtube.

MK: Small World, Peter Pan, Carousel, People Mover, Carousel of Progress, Tiki Room
EPCOT: Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta (boat ride in Mexico)
AK: Na'vi River Journey

All the shows and movies.

Any ride which does not have a height restriction :)

WDW has many tame rides, why we like WDW better than Universal

I can’t believe nobody mentioned the Skyliner!

All my favorites were mentioned. In the non-thrill category, Pirates is my fave.

MK - haunted mansion, pirates, jungle cruise, buzz, people mover

HS - toy story mania

AK - Kilimanjaro Safari, lion king

Epcot - soaring, spaceship earth
Great list.
I would add:
MK Peter Pan
AK given your criteria, i would add Navi
EPCOT Living with the land

Definitely depends on your personal definition of thrilling. For me, there really aren't any real thrill rides at Disney. Even a majority of the coasters are very, very tame. If they are ok with small drops, then most rides should be fine.

Like someone previously mentioned - Soarin' is not for everyone. My mom has a slight fear of heights, she lives on the 14th floor and has no problem with her balcony (or when we've gone on cruises and get balcony cabins) but Soarin' was a no-go.

And while I looove TSMM I can see how people that do not like spinning/jerky rides might not like it. It does slam you around, especially if you are riding with a person bigger than yourself - when I ride with DH I get jerked from side to side on the turns.

There are several very good choices in here. Just don’t overthink it. We are not typically “thrill ride” people but like most of the rides at WDW including 7DMT, BTMR, test track, soarin. The only ones I would even consider cautioning is Everest, slinky dog(haven’t done it yet) tower of terror, RnRC, Space, and splash. ( just for the drop at the end, the rest of the ride is so good I will put up with 1 drop but DH won’t) make sure you go on FoP in AK, it is by far the best ride we have ever been on!!! But we are hoping RoTR will top it.

One thing is clear from reading this thread; what a "thrill ride" is, and what "spinning, dropping, going too fast" for a grandmother and a 6 year old is extremely subjective. Apparently the answer is; take some time and watch some youtube videos on any ride you question because very few people are going to agree and you may wind up on a ride you would rather avoid if you just go by what people assume.

The other suggestion; be really clear on what those terms mean to you if you are asking, so people can narrow it down.

I have to be careful of thrill rides because of health issues. My very favorite is Haunted Mansion. It's so creative and fun. Every time I went, I saw something different. I also like Peter Pan and Soarin...but as others said, if heights are not your thing, then Soarin may not be a good one.

That's a good point. I know there's one family member of ours who is very put off by the drop and won't ride PoC. She's older and the fast drop, although small in comparison to a coaster drop, is too much for her.
