Hey Y'all!

We're going to Disney in Dec (11-18) and I was hoping to squeeze in a QS dinner and a few rides at MK on our arrival night. Our flight gets in at 4pm, so I'm guesstimating we'll be able to get to MK by 7pm?

Which rides would best work into my plan (if any)? We have two full MK days planned already, so they don't have to be MUST DO rides.. just rides that are great at night.. have shorter wait times at night.. etc.

Thanks for your input DISers!

I would hit the 'left' side of the park. Adventureland and Liberty Square are usually slower in the evening that FL and Tommorrowland.

Some cool rides in the dark are: Splash Mtn, BTMRR, Dumbo, Astro Oribtor (if you feel like the sensation of being flung to your painful death below at night vs day :rotfl: ), Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Alladin Magic Carpets, and Tea Cups.

Dumbo DURING Wishes for sure. This is the best thing every. That is a magic moment not to be missed.

We tried to be on Dumbo during Wishes one night last summer. We just missed, but I appreciated the photo op!

omg! That photo is AWESOME! I was debating taking my SLR camera with me this trip, but now I MUST try to get a similar shot! SO magical!

It must be hard to time the ride with Wishes though, no? OH well, I'll have two shots at it!

Thanks! We tried to be in line at the right time, but like I said jsut missed. I was disappointed at first since we were only there that one night. I had no idea I'd enjoy the photo op more than the ride! :goodvibes

Funny how it works though. We were back in the fall and walking through Fantasyland just as Wishes started. There weren't many people in line so we scooted over and just made it.

The MK at night is just awesome!

BTMRR during Wishes/other fireworks is awesome! I definitely recommend it if you can work it out time-wise. :)

I love Splash Mountain at night--the view from the top of the big hill is incredible! If you don't mind possibly getting a bit wet (or really wet, if you sit in the front as we did), it's great.

BTMRR is a good one, as is the TTA. Tomorrowland is gorgeous at night. We also enjoyed riding Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel after dark.

Actually I've never done it at night but going to this November. In fact I've created a facebook event called "The Great Evening TTA Convergence" and if this works, here is the link.. The Great Evening TTA Convergence

There is a Video at youtube where a very skilled camera man tapes the whole ride at night, and there is something about it that is incredible. Its the way the lights zoom by and sights in the background that make it look so cool at night. Plus thats when you get the perfect weather.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority now boarding!

Oh, and no lines! :)

I like haunter mansion at night. Obviously it is indoors but just knowing it is night time adds a bit of ambiance.

My favorite ride at night in MK is Splash Mountain. :)

Definitely Haunted Mansion. I love going on that attraction at night.

Definitely BTMRR! It has a completely different feel at night and the views of the castle and lights are beautiful. We always make a special trip to Frontier Land at night just to ride it a few times.

BTMRR, TTA, and Jungle Cruise seem like different rides at night. I also agree with previous posters that the Haunted Mansion is a must-do at night...it definitely seems a bit creepier!
