Sam's Club sells a 3-pack of $50 GCs at 4.68% off. Other denominations are available for smaller discounts.

We like Kroger for the 4x reward points. $2000 would yield 8000 points or $1 off up to 35 gallons 8 times. If you max it out, that is $280 saved. However, the rewards are wasted if you can't use them. If you can spread the purchases out throughout the year and can max the fuel points, you can get a good savings.

Sam's club has $500 gift cards that sell for $480 (I believe). For our last trip, I went in and got $8,000 worth to pay off my balance and to have the rest left for my dining expenses. I also used a credit card that gave me 2% back. It worked out well for me.

Same here. And we don't have a $1/gallon limit in VA. I go hybrid--buy visa gift cards at kroger and use them at BB with swagbucks. Saves me about 17.5%. (Savings vary based on credit card used at Kroger, number of gallons of gas / fill up, BB rewards status, etc.)

If you have a Discover It card then it has 5% cash back at warehouse clubs this quarter. Stack that with the 4.68% off at Sam's and you have a decent deal right now.
