Best resturant or experience for a Birthday?

I was supposed to celebrate my big birthday with a trip overseas but am taking a trip to Disneyland instead. Can anyone recommend a special experience or dinner for a big birthday?

At Disney World we've done the Marceline to Main Street tour, and at our last trip to Disneyland (2017) we did the 999 Happy Haunts tour, and the Fantasmic Dinner package. I'm not even sure tours are running right now, but that's our idea of 'something special'.

When are you going? Might try for Napa Rose chef’s counter if they are back up and running that experience by the time of your trip. That’s pretty fun.

If cost is no concern, 21 Royal is the most special dinner on property.

For something like a birthday, we usually eat at Carthy Circle or Steakhouse 55. There used to be a very nice afternoon tea on the weekends at Steakhouse 55. Not sure if that will come back.

When tours reopen, you can see Walt's little apartment by taking the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour.

If budget allows and you want to power through rides, book a VIP tour. That will also give you special seating at one of the night shows - if those are up and running again when you go.
