The next trip we will have the extended family with us. The crew is:
Myself and husband, DD16 and DD22 (seasoned Disney travelers)
SIL 22 and Grandson 1year, cousin 5 years (first trip)
2 sets of great grandparents (have been before, but not frequently)

I am looking for advice on restaurants that both the 1 year old grandson will like, but will also appeal to his great grandparents. Since my family has made many trips we have eaten at a lot of various restaurants, but almost always with just the 4 of us. We will likely split up at Epcot but be together at the rest of the parks. We are not opposed to eating at some of the resorts, and will likely be staying at Bay Lake or Bolder Ridge.

Hit me up with your ideas that will satisfy both the toddler and the great grandparents!

Maybe try Story Book Dining at WL if staying at BR? It has characters, songs, and dancing etc. The lights in the trees are pretty and fun. The menu is a step up from character buffets for the adults.

At Boulder Ridge, I would try Whispering Canyon. At BLT, consider Steakhouse 71. In AK, I would try Yak & Yeti, DHS 50's Prime Time.

You said you were splitting up for Epcot, but Biergarten was my first thought. My toddler loved watching the band.

Whispering Canyon Cafe if you are at Boulder Ridge

Sci-Fi or 50’s prime time at HS

Skipper Canteen at MK or take the monorail to poly for ‘Ohana’s

Donald’s Breakfast at AK

Depends on what the great grandparents enjoy. The toddler can eat anywhere since they are either going to eat off someone's plate or get a kid's meal (my grand daughter has always eaten whatever her parents are eating, I have a picture of her on New Years Day when she was 9 months old eating turnip greens and black eyed peas). While she might enjoy character meals, she might not. Some little ones are not too fond of getting close to the non-face characters and the noise and interruptions might be too much, just depends on the child. Frankly at 1 year old, I wouldn't waste the money on character meals unless everyone else wants to go. GG's just depends on how old they are, if they have any limitations, food issues, etc. I'm a grandmother and I dislike character meals but that just might be me.

Small children can get fidgety at sitdown restaurants (even if you bring something like a coloring book to keep them occupied) and tend to not understand you have to wait for the food to be prepared before they serve it. Buffets are great since there is no waiting. O'hana is also good since they now bring the food family style and things tend to move along faster compared to other TS type places.

Lots of QS choices at all of the parks.

1st thing that came to mind was 50's P/T. Great for all ages, and fun for all, nostalgic for the elders too. :thumbsup2.

Topolinos would be great for everyone. Great tasting food, fun character interactions. It can be hard to get so put it at the end of your trip
