Best Restaurants for Under Two Crowd?

What are some of the best table service restaurants for taking a 15 month old? We're planning to stay at the Beach Club and we won't have a rental car, so I'm thinking most of our dinners will be in the Boardwalk area and Epcot, although we might do a dinner in MK or MGM one night. We're doing the dining plan and will probably to counter service lunches most days and TS dinners (at least that's what I'm thinking right now). What do you suggest?

Oh yeah, is the Yachtsman too "nice" to take a baby this young? I've always wanted to eat there!

Crystal Palace is great

We were fine at the cape may cafe seafood dinner. Also, flying fish was very accomodating to my kids (although expensive!)

The Crystal Palace would be my first choice. You can't beat Tigger and Pooh for the little ones. Chef Mickey's would be my second choice. The only restaurant in Epcot that I think of as geared to kids is the Garden Grill in the Land pavillion. Mickey and Minnie are usually there, along with Chip and Dale.

My DD (now 3) really enjoys Crystal Palace. At that age Pooh and friends rule!

DH and I really enjoy Garden Grill. The rotation of the restaurant and the characters entertain DD, and because it's served family style we don't have to keep getting up as we do with buffet. Plus, the food comes out much faster than ordering from a menu. So...it's fast enough for DD yet keeps her entertained long enough for us to enjoy our meal, has characters, is all you can eat, and the food is quite good! Liberty Tree Tavern would be another decent choice for the same reasons...characters and family style service with decent food, though not gormet.

Boardwalk area or Epcot:

Really, most of the TS restaurants in Epcot are fine for 1-2 year olds. Most of them are fairly noisy, and you'll see other kids that young in there. Bistro is probably the only exception. Its upstairs in France and is more quiet and upscale. If your child does well in restaurants, I wouldn't necessarily avoid it, but like I said, it is a quieter environment.

The only one in Epcot I'm not sure about is the Coral Reef, which I haven't been to. Kids probably like the aquarium, but I'm not sure about the atmosphere.

But any of the others should be fine.

As for the BW area, Cape May is fine, Flying Fish or even Spoodles are fine too.

I haven't been to the Yachtsmen, but I have been to Shula's, and again, if the child does fairly well in restaurants, I would not hesitate if that's somewhere you really want to try. There are very few restaurants in WDW where you won't find young children.

Crystal Palace at MK is another good choice, and we really like the Liberty Tree Tavern, which has a character dinner with family style food.

At MGM, all are fine, though the Brown Derby is the most upscale of the group.

When our youngest was 13 months old and we stayed at Boardwalk or Beach Club..we took her to a lot, but I'd recommend: Cape May Cafe for both breakfast (a character meal) and dinner..both have good choices of food), at MK..I'd recommend Crystal Palace. Tip..go for lunch..it's cheaper by about $5-7/pp and it's pretty much the same food. The characters are great, but the lasy 3x I have eaten there..I didn't care for the food..guess I got spoiled and have eaten at some better places. Chef Mickey's is really fun. We mostly go to buffets..just because it gives her a variety to eat. Boma was funtoo. SHe like the atmosphere and seeing the animals beforehand. If your child is used to eating out then anywhere should be fine.

Our daughter really started to like meat around 15 months...so Yachtsman would have been a YES for her! What we have found is that we always have a plan for "extraction" if dinner starts to go wrong. Knowing in advance who will possibly leaving and what our game plan is makes it much easier. Generally, we only have to use the plan if we've crossed several time zones. Good luck and have fun!!!

Crystal Palace is good, as is Liberty Tree Tavern. Our two year old DD loved both of these places.
