My 2 yo has dairy and soy allergies. I have been scoping out Allergyeats.com for Disney options and it sounds like most are accomodating to allergies. But I thought I'd ask here - any suggestions for dining? Anywhere super accomodating? Or anywhere to avoid? Thanks!

All Disney restaurants-in my experience, are amazing with allergies. Quick service can be iffy, but so long as you're careful you shouldn't have an issue. I'd just be sure to note the allergy on your ADR and remind your server upon arrival. At certain places the chef will come out and direct you to what is and isn't safe for your son to eat, and if applicable, cook him something specific that caters to his allergies.

I agree. I have several family members with food allergies and we have eaten at various TS in the parks and at resorts for all 3 meals including buffets and dinner shows.

Be very careful at the EPCOT World Showcase restaurants - they are NOT run by Disney and some are very allergy-UNfriendly. Check AllergyEats on those and you'll see. Some are even worse than your average Applebee's... though some are still great (Teppon Ido comes to mind).
Good luck! Have fun!

We have a very extensive list of allergies with our 3 boys and it's not uncommon that chefs have to go off menu to prepare something safe for them. We have been able to get meals at pretty much all Table Service restaurants but struggle with quick service. For just dairy/soy though you should be able to find more QS options as well.

The ones that have really stood out for us in the past as going above and beyond are Crystal Palace and Biergarten.

But we've had good experiences at Raglan Road, Be Our Guest, Cape May Cafe breakfast, Hollywood Brown Derby, Sci Fi Diner, Cinderella's Royal Table, Rose & Crown, Captain's Grille, The Wave, Le Cellier, 1900 Park Fair, Chef Mickeys, Hollywood and Vine, Rainforest Cafe, Skipper Canteen, Liberty Tree Tavern, Tusker House.....and I might be missing one or two.

We had "iffy" experiences with T Rex, Ohana, and 50s Prime Time. Hit or miss with the chefs and/or having ingredients that were not already prepped with allergens. But again that's with a long list of allergens. Dairy/Soy should be relatively easy to work with.

FWIW, we've found Applebees to be rather accommodating for us and they have become one of the few spots we can dine with our kids without too much worry back home and when traveling. Unless you were meaning worse than as in the quality of the food.

I agree, WDW is the best place to go for a food allergy family! We were accommodated everywhere, all though like the PP stated, World Showcase is a bit more of a struggle. They were very careful with my children's food, but they didn't have a lot of substitute options.

My son will be 4, he's allergic to all nuts. We've had wonderful experiences at Disney. I tell the check-in person before being seated about his allergy. Typically, the waitress will have the chef come over and advise us. We've had great luck at several character dining restaurants (garden grill, chef mickey's, be our guest, ohana, tusker house..etc).

One time, we ate the Sci Fi Dine In theater at Hollywood Studios. The chef came out and showed me exactly what they use in the pancakes (Bob's red mill) and he even gave me a package to take with me.

I definitely feel less anxious when we go to Disney, in our experience, they handle food allergies very well.
